Tianjin International Cruise Port - Please be aware that depending on your start time and travel date (the Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven are closed on Mondays), this two-day itinerary may be adjusted.

Upon the cruise ship’s arrival at Tianjin International Cruise Port, your private guide will greet you, assist with your luggage, and commence the 3.5-hour drive to the Great Wall at the Mutianyu Section.

Mutianyu Great Wall - During the journey, your guide will entertain you with interesting facts and trivia about the city and its numerous attractions.

As you pass by the local village near the Wall, you will stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

Then, embark on a 30-minute drive through scenic mountains and villages. Your guide will share stories and histories of the Great Wall.

Upon arrival, take a cable car or ski lift up to the Wall, then follow your tour guide to hike and explore various beacons and watchtowers. As this is a private tour, you can choose how far to go and when to leave.

You will descend either by cable car or ski lift, or you can enjoy the fun toboggan ride down.

Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - Next, head to the stunning imperial palace, the Summer Palace. The Summer Palace is the best-preserved royal garden in Beijing. It showcases the finest ancient buildings and gardening styles, making it a virtual museum of traditional Chinese gardening.

Niaochao National Stadium - Stop for photos at the National Stadium and Water Cube.

Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing. (Please ensure to book your hotel in advance)

Temple of Heaven - Tian’anmen Square - Forbidden City - Tianjin International Cruise Port (L)

Temple of Heaven - Check out of your hotel in the morning, and begin your tour at the Temple of Heaven. This magnificent and colorful temple was where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties made offerings to heaven and prayed for bountiful harvests.

Stroll through various courtyards and halls, gaining deep insight into the worship ceremonies held here during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - Next, explore the Tian’anmen Square and Forbidden City area.

Listen to stories about the surrounding buildings and monuments as you walk, heading north past the Tian’anmen Gate, and proceed to the Forbidden City.

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Built in 1949, Tian’anmen Square is a modern creation in a city that previously lacked spaces for large gatherings. Beyond it lies the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City, where over one million treasures are displayed.

Hall of Great Harmony (Taihe Dian) - Follow your tour guide to explore the most important buildings inside the Forbidden City, such as the Hall of Great Harmony, Hall of Central Harmony, and Hall of Preserving Harmony.

Palace of Heavenly Purity - Then proceed to the inner court to visit the Hall of Heavenly Purity, Hall of Union, and Hall of Earthly Tranquility. Learn about the lives of the Emperor, Empress, and concubines. Feel free to ask questions during the tour.

The Imperial Garden of The Palace Museum - Pass by the Imperial Garden, then exit the Forbidden City from the North Gate.

Afterwards, stop at a local restaurant for a traditional lunch.

Tianjin International Cruise Port - Your shore excursion concludes back at Tianjin International Port in time for your cruise departure. The return journey will take approximately 2 hours. (The driver will take you back to Xingang, and the tour guide’s service ends in Beijing.)

• Tian’anmen Square is a free attraction. Security check entry may take 1-3 hours on busy days. If security checks are extremely strict and cause significant delays, we will skip the square—no refund applies as it is a complimentary site.
• Travel time reference: Tianjin Cruise Port → Mutianyu Great Wall: approx. 3.5 hours by car Mutianyu Great Wall → Beijing city center: approx. 1.5 hours by car Beijing city center → Tianjin Cruise Port (final day): approx. 2 hours by car
• If you choose the return trip to Xingang, the driver will take you back to Xingang after the last day. The tour guide’s service ends in Beijing.
