Best way to see the magical Waipio Valley. The guides are very knowledgeable, the horses well trained and the price is very reasonable. You will not be disappointed!

Our family of four had an amazing time! It was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Grace guided us with ease and explained our brief lesson in how to handle a horse well. She even used key Japanese phrases to help the family from Japan who was on the same tour. The horses were beautiful and well trained. The walk through the Waipio Valley forest was absolutely stunning! Grace and River explained many of the plants along the way, including some history of the island. An absolutely beautiful walk and we all felt we became somewhat accomplished horse riders! Highly recommended. Thank you for an amazing memory!

This would be a great horseback tour if you just want a relaxing experience with beautiful scenery or have young children. The other reviews are accurate - they mostly stay on a road and they don't take you to the waterfall. You never get off your horse. My kids were really disappointed in the tour but they're older and more adventurous. If you have little kids they might enjoy it. Also, there were times I sent emails to the company and they never answered back so that was a little frustrating. There are so many other amazing things to do on The Big Island that I would skip this. It definitely wasn't worth the price. However, be sure to drive up to Waipio Valley Lookout because it is a gorgeous view! Just skip the horseback ride and save yourself a lot of money! There is a cute little town about 1 minute away with cute shops and there's another about 5 more minutes south of Waipio Valley. Enjoy shopping and eating after your long drive to the valley. I really wish I could say that we loved it. We really had very high hopes!
