Enjoy a breathtaking Kona sunset aboard our spacious 50’ catamaran as you cruise along the Kona coast, followed by an unforgettable adventure - snorkeling with the magnificent manta rays! Upon arrival, receive a comprehensive introduction to one of the ocean’s most enigmatic creatures. Join our professional and certified guides in the water as you snorkel with the majestic hahalua (manta rays). Snorkel gear, instruction, wetsuits, and swim noodles are provided. Complimentary water, juice, soft drinks, and hot cocoa are included.
Guests have the option to purchase beer, wine, and cocktails from our fully stocked bar.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
- Any tour participants that are getting in the water MUST KNOW HOW TO SWIM without the assistance of a flotation device
- Children under the age of 5 are not allowed in the water and MUST be accompanied by an adult on the vessel at all times
- Guests are asked to check-in at our KONASTYLE retail outlet 45 MINUTES PRIOR to your scheduled departure time. We are located in the Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha Beach Kona Hotel. Our address is 75-5660 Palani Road, Suite C8, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740
- We offer discounted self parking at the Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha Hotel. Parking charge is $13 for up to 5.5 hours. Please remember to bring your parking ticket with you at check-in.
- PLEASE NOTE that trip start times VARY throughout the year to accommodate for the time changes of the setting sun.
- PLEASE NOTE that full-face snorkel masks are NOT allowed to be used by guests
- Not recommended for travelers that are not strong swimmers. If guest is not a competent swimmer (as determined by the Captain and/or crew), they will be directed to immediately return to the vessel. In such instances the guest will NOT be refunded
- Not recommended for travelers that are prone to seasickness / motion sickness
- Guests weighing more than 300 lb (136 kg) are NOT allowed in the water as our water entry / exit staircase has a specific weight limit
- Not recommended for travelers with a history of panic attacks

Sunset, Manta Ray Snorkel Trip - Amazing trip! Sunset was beautiful! The guides and crew were very knowledgeable and explained in detail what we were going to do and see while we were snorkeling with the Manta Rays! Our guide explained what the Manta Rays would be doing and added some interesting facts and information about the Manta Rays too. Highly recommend this amazing experience!

Out of this world - Another fantastic experience with KonaStyle. This time manta ray night snorkel which was truly mind blowing. Captain Jacques and his crew are always friendly, attentive, informative and professional. Safety is absolutely paramount - you will be in the right hands both for the journey out and the adventure when you get there. Thanks to you all.

Unforgettable evening with mantarays - If you’re in Kona, this is a must. It was one of the most breathtaking moments of my life, having the mantarays swimming and feeding just a few inches from you is incredible. The crew is amazing and kept us entertained (and safe of course) throughout the evening.

It was amazing. The manta... - It was amazing. The manta rays literally come up and practically touch you. Our guides/crew were super helpful and knowledgeable and really took the time to help anyone who needed a little extra. Would definitely do it again!

We had a wonderful time... - We had a wonderful time with the KonaStyle team. They gave us rundowns about what to expect, rules, etc at various points along the trip. There are alcoholic drinks available for purchase on the boat or free soda and water. They also provide hot chocolate and hot drinks for after you get out of the water. They really have it down to a science! They quickly get everyone the gear they need while making the trip to the manta rays so no time is wasted. I would highly recommend this tour!

Thought I'd never do it again-now I can't wait to go back! - I have an irrational fear of the water, and was very anxious leading up to this tour, but I really wanted the experience! The crew was MORE than accommodating, kind, and encouraging, and because of that, I was able to stay out in the water the entire time, despite the screaming children around me, one in particular right next to me kicking me, until his father finally asked for him to be brought back to the boat! I honestly can't wait to do it again, and I thought for sure it was going to be a once in a lifetime experience/hurdle for me! Mahalo to the amazing crew, from check in to the end!

Lifetime memory made - This experience was incredible and I would highly recommend Kona Style! The guides were very knowledgeable about the manta rays and the captain and all took care of us well on the boat. I learned so much! We got to see the manta rays do barrel rolls and come right up to us out in the water. And the crew had hot chocolate waiting for us after we got out of the somewhat chilly water. I will remember this experience for a lifetime and am so glad I got this opportunity with this Hawaiian company!

Most memorable experience! - KONASTYLE gave my family one of the most magical experiences we have ever had! Our Crew was beyond fantastic! Rules and safety was very well made known, they went above and beyond with service and answering questions and when our youngest son had a panic attack and was done with the snorkeling, the crew took him back to the boat and made sure the rest of us could finish the experience! If ever given the chance, DO IT! Five stars plus!

Graceful creatures and a fun night out. - Beautiful creatures, but be aware that your arms/shoulders will get tired from holding onto the flotation platform. Also, bring napkins for afterward because there will definitely be a lot of snot in your nose from the snorkel and tissues were not anywhere to be found on board.

Disappointing excursion - We stayed in the water every bit of 45 minutes and it got super cold and people were starting to whine right and left and saw one manta ray. I know they can’t protect when these things come, but you think they’re a little bit clearer of a guarantee policy. It was very disappointing as they advertise. You see so many of them as well as told us that on the way out. I called them the next day to find out if we could go out again and was told they would get back with me to me know but never got a call back and said I would have to pay again, but they would discount it.
