Tons of colorful fish up close. Spinner dolphins doing backflips. Bring your own swim fins. - Danielle & Jasmine were great. Fun, upbeat, and professional all at the same time. Waves were fairly large to / from on the day we went and they handled things well. Snorkeling for the first time and was very impressed with the amount of colorful fish were able to see up close. Good directions from Danielle & Jasmine on how to use the equipment. We went on the first trip of the morning leaving at 8am. Got to see spinner dolphins from the boat before we left, with a couple jumping out of the water and doing backflips. Our boat's crew was always watching and ready to help. Someone from another boat was having problems in the water and our boat's crew went to help them before their own boat's crew was able to. Nice to see that if something did go wrong (it didn't) our boat's crew was attentive and ready to spring into action. Only negative I would say about the operation is the lack of provided swim fins. I knew this going in, so we brought our own. I'm sure many don't think about it and do just fine without them, but they make swimming so much easier and are cheap. Would suggest the company just spring for them and add them to the package in the future. Tips: 1. 8am or whatever the first time available is great. 2. Bring your own swim fins, until hopefully the company just starts furnishing them. 3. Bring an action camera attached to a floating stick or lanyard. 4. Choose the team of Danielle and Jasmine for an easy fun experience.

Fun! - Fun boat ride to remote cove with plenty of fish and corals. Captain Danielle and first mate Jasmine were knowledgeable about the area, and included a few interesting spots along the coast. Whole lotta fun!

Great Activity for the Whole Family - The "Portland D's" David and Danielle were great. David was incredibly knowledgeable of the area with regards to both history and natural habitat. The snorkeling was really good at Kealakekua Bay. Would highly recommend this tour as we also found it a better value than a lot of other activities on the island.

Once in a lifetime experience - Danielle and David took us to the most pristine waters where Finding Nemo and Moana got their inspiration 🐠 They were full of stories and history tidbits adding magic and context to our experience. The ocean, the boats, the caves, the coast line, the flying fish, the birds... everything was so surreal and beautiful. Swimming wasn't our strong suit but they were so very kind and patient to my Chinese speaking parents allowing them to take their time to understand every step so they can try out snorkeling 🤿 We felt well taken care of and had a blast 😍

No dolphins - We never saw any dolphins or turtles or whales. The snorkeling area was very small and there were many boats at the same place. We also tried to contact the provider several times but we never received a reply. The snack was a pineapple. When we arrived at the given address, there was nobody and no signs where we had to go. Luckily a neighbor shop told us to just wait, they will arrive eventually. The only nice thing I have to say about this tour is that the crew was vey nice and helpful.

Uncomfortable safety attitude - Safety is NOT their first priority.. I had to beg and bargain all morning over the phone to check if they provide life vest/jacket for the boat ride. I was instead given an argument that 4-yr olds do this without a jacket or that it would be similar to providing parachutes on airplanes. We were eventually reassured that jet-ski vests will be provided but when we turned up for the pick-up, the crew was not aware of this. We had to beg for it again and were finally given belts (which they indeed provide DURING the snorkel). IMO, If you sign a waiver of life, they should do their part on providing safety. There's lots of unnecessary hubris. I wish them continued luck, they need it based on the shaka attitude around safety.

Nice but wouldn’t do it again. It seemed less than safe. - The captain and mate were nice. Pretty snorkeling. However, the boat ride there was harrowing. Way too fast for very choppy waters.

More of a boat ride to the snorkeling spot not a tour - It is basically a boat ride to the captain cook monument on a bumpy seal boat with very little safety equipment's not a tour per se. No person, helpdesk exist at the pier, the couple shows up with their boat and thats it. Beginner snorkelers were actively discouraged from wearing life jackets and instead suggested to stay on the boat. Waist belt were distributed only because insurance recommended it. At the monument the couple , when the group was snorkeling the couple did not even enter the water to make sure everyone was safe. We made sure we did not book a manta ray tour with them, the other agency we booked the same night was much more organized right from the reservation, to the onboarding to the support in water. It actually felt like a tour.

Didn’t get to experience the adventure. Failed booking. - I would’ve given a zero rating but it wasn’t available. It’s hard to give a review of a vacation adventure when TripAdvisor, Viator and the snorkel outfit couldn’t provide the basic information to meet at the correct location for the scheduled time. You’d think an email confirming your booking would have working hyperlinks and accurate contact info. After requesting active hyperlinks to complete a required waiver, no new email was sent, no apologies. Then the morning of our snorkeling, the location we guessed was right had no parking and no signage. We tried calling to make sure we were in the right place but no one from this snorkeling company would answer. It was within 10 minutes of our departure time and still no one from the company was there or returned our call. At this point we figured we were at the wrong place. We left to go to another address listed on their website. The reality is that we were at the right location but the boat was running late. We finally got a call after we left and it was too late to get back in time. We’ve requested a full refund but no one will admit to their part in the incompetence. This snorkeling company won’t even respond to the complaint or refund notification. Pick a different snorkeling company and use a concierge instead. Don’t waste your money using TripAdvisor or Viator.
