The tour operates on a smaller vessel—a 23-foot RHIB (Zodiac-style) boat—accommodating 11 passengers. The tour duration from departure to return is approximately 50 minutes, including 25–30 minutes of water time.
Important notes:
- Participants must be 5 years of age or older to board the boat and must be experienced swimmers in good health to participate.
- Basic snorkeling experience is required.
- Casual-use life jackets are not provided unless the participant is 13 years of age or under.
- Weight policy: 260 lbs (not to exceed 320 lbs). An additional seat is required.
- Wetsuits are optional and available to rent at check-in.
- Please do not bring personal items, valuables, towels, or bags, as there is no storage on the boat; belongings must be kept in your own vehicle.
- Tour times are subject to change.
- Ocean conditions can change without notice, and choppy conditions may occur.

-Weight Policy: Anyone 260 and over (not to exceed 320) is required to purchase an additional seat.
- All participants must be experienced swimmers and have snorkel experience. Children must be 5 and over to board the boat. Due to the type of boat we operate (RHIB) we are unable to allow service animals on board.

Amazing Experience - This was an amazing experience and did NOT disappoint. These are truly majestic, gentle creatures and I am grateful to have seen this. Our crew was excellent and were knowledgeable abt the rays. It was apparent they had great respect and cared abt the well-being of these creatures.

Must Do! - If you are worried about it being in the ocean at night I promise it isn’t bad. The light that attracts the plankton is bright and you can see the ocean floor. If you are thinking about recording I would suggest something that attaches to your head. Two hands on the lights will help keep you from being pushed all over from the waves. This was seriously the most amazing thing I have ever done. I couldn’t recommend it more. The staff was super knowledgeable and made me feel safe as well. I will be doing this again.

Incredible Manta Ray Experience - Captain Mike and his crew provided an absolute 5-star experience! Parking on the side of the road was easy, and the boat ride out was short and smooth. You don’t have to be an expert swimmer to enjoy this; you just need to be comfortable in snorkel gear. We spent a full 30 minutes floating with three amazing manta rays that swam right up to us. Make sure to bring a waterproof camera!

An incredible experience with a fun crew - My wife and I went as part of our 20th anniversary vacation and had an absolute blast. Koa, Jacob, and Kecee were excellent guides and hosts. They were so informative, especially as people asked more questions and they shared so many cool stories about their business, experiences, and the sealife we saw on the tour itself.

Incredible time with Koa Jacob and Marcus - Incredible trip! Koa, Jacob and Marcus were wonderful and made the experience extra special. This trip was a bucket list moment and I would 100% recommend this tour to anybody staying on the Big Island!
