Wonderful Experience! Highly Recommend - This was amazing! Being in a small boat with only 12 people was great. I loved the traditional canoe experience. My husband was a little nervous being on a smaller boat like that, but it was worth it. We felt very safe, as we were out with different companies as well. The trip was only about 5 mins from the harbor, which gave us so much time in the water. The manta rays were fantastic. The crew we had, Jayden and Nicole are great. They gave us so many facts about the mantas.

Beyond Our Expectations - Exceeded our expectations! We love the double canoe and the crew was amazing. We thought maybe we would see a couple of manta rays. We had no idea how many we would see nor how close they would get to us! None of the manta rays actually touched us (and for their safety we didn't want them to), but many of them made us gasp. Thank you so much Eka Canoe Adventures. We would definitely book with you again.

What an Outstanding and Unique Holiday (Vacation) Experience! - From the moment Ted in “Kona Boys” told me about this wonderful experience waiting for me to have, I was sold. The communication from Eva Canoe Adventures was first class and very helpful. The detailed maps with marked pictures, suggestions on what to bring, and help planning the night of a lifetime was very helpful. It was very helpful having the sandwich board signs to indicate where the meeting point was as I found it hard seeing the way in the dark, never having been down that road. Available parking was a little far away and I was concerned I would be shaking with cold as I walked back, but I need not have worried. The water was not at all as cold as I had expected and when I removed my wetsuit top, to return it, I was pleasantly surprised that I was only vaguely chilly. The time on the water was fun. Instructions were clear and timely, not given all at once, allowing us time to absorb them. The canoe was fun, though I thought the trip would have been further away. That was not a negative fact for me, but I was surprised that we arrived within minutes. I am not sure if this was usual or whether the presence of manta rays and a turtle drew the crew to stop at that point. The actual time in the water was fabulous, a climax as I expected. I was struggling to operate my iPhone in its case, and had to pull it out of the water to operate it, but that was my inexperience with that kind of case. The moving of the rays up so close to us on “the board’ was an unexpected and delightful surprise. I had thought they would be further away. And such a continuous flow of them for nearly the entire time out there was thrilling. I did not feel any trepidation whatsoever and thoroughly enjoyed one guy in our group who was making some very funny reactions to the rays coming close as if he was slightly afraid. It helped me get ready with the camera as I knew they would head my way down my end soon. The length of time out there went by very fast and I was not in the slightest bit cold nor tired. I think the adrenaline of the experience kept my body warm. Provision of the snorkel and mask (duly prepared with anti-fog) as well as the wet suit top was a nice touch and made the event all the more comfortable. A huge thanks the two guys who took us out on Wednesday night past. I did not get their names. They were helpful, professional, careful in the boarding and disembarking of the canoe and very sensitive to the more frail in the group. The joking was fun and did not deter from the serious moments when instructions were given. THANKS GUYS! I will remember this for years. Footage to show my kids and grandkids. 😎

Unique & incredible! - This was one of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had!! The manta rays really swim right up to you to the point where you can basically see inside their mouths. If you love marine life, this is a must!! You have to swim without a life jacket for maybe 30 seconds, but for most of the time you are floating by holding this center device with a noodle at your feet. It can be a little uncomfortable at times, especially the snorkel mask and breathing through the tube. But as long as you don’t have breathing problems, it’s definitely worth it! The canoe was also really cool, and the staff was very helpful and attentive. Highly recommend!

Wow! What an experience!! Loved it all!! - What an incredible experience! Positively “glowing” reviews for all aspects… the Mantas to Nakoua and Chaden, or crew! They were super nice guys and very knowledgeable about the Mantas! They were professional and lots of fun. The canoe ride was a blast. Definitely recommend waterproof camera or gear (I forgot mine!). Also, highly recommend cash for gratuity, the guys earn and deserve it. Thank you for an outstanding night out!!! If I could make any recommendations… to your customers, watch your step walking the dark street to Eka. For the crew it would be to get that building to add some sort of lighting over the street to get to your dock. My husband tripped and fell on a man hole cover on that dark street.

Beyond amazing - This was an amazing experience. Very friendly and capable captains. We loved the format of the canoe boat, which was a great experience in and of itself. They provided wetsuit tops to help keep us warm. We were lucky to see lots and lots of beautiful swirling manta rays. It was so magical. Best experience. Thank you!!

Great crew and unique boat - Our manta ray snorkeling experience was amazing! The canoe was very cool and we liked being part of a small group. The captain and guide were both very friendly and informative. They made us feel very comfortable even though we were a bit nervous. We got to see tons of manta rays! They swam much closer to us than I expected. If you are looking to go on a night manta ray dive I highly recommend going with Eka Canoe. My only advice is to really read the directions they send you in advance bc it is a little confusing finding the boat at the docks, leave yourself time to figure it out.
