2 tours in 1 day highly recommend - We went on a snorkeling trip to Captain Cook Bay in the morning and did a sunset Manta ray tour in the same day. Both were amazing! We had a great time and felt very safe the whole day. Highlight of the snorkeling trip was hotdogs for lunch! We couldn’t find another tour with hot food for lunch so this was great. It is the beginning of the whale watching season and we thought we saw one go under. The crew was nice enough to wait for the whale to resurface and we got to see a humpback! Diego, Tamae, Trevor, and Madi were so helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable and made sure we had a great day!

Absolutely amazing Manta... - Absolutely amazing Manta Ray tour!!! Trev, Nick, Tamae, and Diego were incredible they were so kind and made the whole night unforgettable. I would go back for another tour with them, they made us feel safe in the water and between manta sightings they gave us tons of fun details and information.

Incredible Manta Ray Encounter — So Much Fun! - Absolutely unforgettable experience with Hawaii Dolphin! Our night swim with the manta rays was nothing short of magical — watching those gentle giants glide beneath us under the moonlight felt like stepping into another world. Trev, Maddy, and Diego were incredible from start to finish — friendly, upbeat, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made everyone feel safe and comfortable while keeping the mood light and fun the entire time. You could tell they love sharing this experience with people. If you’re visiting the Big Island, do not miss this tour — it’s a must-do bucket list adventure! Just make sure there’s always an extra Hydrojug on board… you’ll thank me later.

Forget the others- go with this tour! - Captain Lena was amazing- she confidently piloted our boat through the darkest of nights! Maddie is not "just" a mask and snorkel provider- she is on the Board Of Directors for the Manta Rey foundation! Diego provided magnificent muscle and support! Thank you SO much for the video you shot. We has a blast and saw little Nico (baby manta ray). Highly recommend.

Family friendly manta ray night snorkel....so fun! - We took our 2 girls on this tour, ages 7 and 11. This was the first time for us on a boat in the ocean. My girls were pretty nervous swimming in the water at night, but they had life vests and wetsuits. Also, the crew was incredible staying right next to us in the water and helping the girls feel safe and calm. Girls were able to sit on top of floating square and see the manta rays just inches away! The manta rays were beautiful and peaceful, coming right up to us! We're so glad we did this tour! Definitely kid friendly, but maybe not for little ones 4 and under in my opinion. Fast boat ride and dark waters. I got severe motion sickness as everyone was getting back on the boat and Maddie helped me take care of business at the back of the boat discreetly and kindly! Wonderful crew and crazy cool experience!

The trip turned into a vomit-laden fiasco - The boat should never have gone out. The water was incredibly rough. There was 3 year old and infant on board as well as numerous non-English speakers who couldn’t swim well. The swells were at least 6 ft. It was very difficult to get from the boat to the rafts. Multiple people felt so sick in the water that they had to be pulled back to the boat using swim noodles. The little girl was crying for her mommy. When we finally went back to the boat it was difficult and terrifying to grab the ladder and get on the boat, as the boat was rocking from side to side and sometimes the ladder was 6 ft above you. When we got on the boat, at least 8 passengers were bent over buckets, vomiting. They offered everyone vouchers for another trip out to see the rays. In what world would anyone do that again?
