- Keauhou Harbor - Following a briefing at the check-in location, you will be provided with driving and parking instructions to Keauhou Harbor. Meet the boat crew at the boat ramp and board for a brief 3–5 minute journey to Manta Village. The USCG-certified captain will conduct a quick safety and manta-etiquette briefing, explaining how to float comfortably, keep arms straight, and avoid chasing or touching the animals. In the water, participants will hold onto a lighted float board while the guide gently positions the group over the action. Relax and observe as mantas glide and somersault just inches below, drawn by the lights that attract plankton. Enjoy 30–45 minutes of water time (weather permitting); parent swapping is encouraged so adults can take turns in the water. Ride-along options are available for those who prefer to watch from the boat! After snorkeling, you will be returned to the harbor, assisted out of the water, and provided with tips for preserving Kona’s reef and wildlife. On the rare occasion that no manta rays appear, every effort will be made to reschedule based on availability.
