As a small, owner-operated business with 30 years of experience in manta ray night diving, we pride ourselves on our passionate and professional crew, including our first mate, Cieba, our beloved puppy!

Must do with a great crew! - This was an incredible experience! Those manta ray really do come extremely close to you and I’ve never seen anything like that before! Great boat ride out there to the area that you enter the water. The crew did a great job at educating you about the Manta Ray and helping you feel comfortable in and out of the water. I was having a little trouble with my snorkel but they were quick to help. This was an experience of a lifetime and a must do! Great crew and a fabulous experience!

An absolute must-do - If i could give this 10 stars I would. We had an amazing experience with nonstop mantas that completely lacked
personal space . I am a diver and have had numerous encounters with mantas and WOW THIS WAS SPECIAL. a must do!

BEST BOAT COMPANY IN KONA!!!!!!! - 10/10 experience with incredible guides and attention to detail every step of the way! We honestly don’t have words to explain how amazing the experience was. Capt Mike and Rachel and the puppy dog made this the highlight experience of our whole trip to Hawaii!!!!! We did a private manta trip and were shocked by other boats putting 40-50 ppl in the water and not even paying attention to them. While we were taken care of every step of the way. Our 7 year old who was scared of the water even got to see the mantas come right up to him!!!!! Also the hot fresh water shower was luxurious. Torpedo tours is provides an intimate experience for an affordable price! Choose this company you won’t be sorry!!

a great time with super awesome guides - I cannot possibly overstate how amazing this was! Definitely an unforgettable experience. The guides did a fantastic job of making sure everyone had a blast and guiding us to see so many mantas. Highly highly recommend these guides!

Best Manta Trip Ever!!! - If you are looking for an amazing experience with a family type feel, then this is your company. These guys are amazing. The crew was professional and very fun to be around. Very knowledgeable and capable. We had kids, teens, and adults and we all had a blast. I highly encourage you to book these guys if you plan on coming to Kona. You will not regret it. Aloooooha.

Great experience with Torpedo Tours! - Outstanding experience...saw 10 Manta Rays doing barrel rolls...close enough to touch but you can't. Captain Mike did a great job of giving us an informational talk regarding these amazing graceful creatures.
Anna took great care of us in the water and made sure none of us had difficulty getting back on the boat via a ladder. Highly recommend them...their passion for Manta Rays and personal attention to passengers is exceptional.

An island MUST!!! - We had a truly special evening with my nieces visiting from the mainland, and it was nothing short of magical. As island locals, we've been on many manta ray snorkels over the years—but Torpedo continues to be our top choice. Their crew is not only professional and safety-focused but also incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating and little-known facts about these butterflies of the ocean that even we hadn’t heard before.
What really sets Torpedo apart is the small group size. It makes the experience more personal, relaxed, and immersive—perfect for connecting with the ocean and the incredible manta rays up close.
If you're looking to create unforgettable memories, this is the adventure to choose. I can’t recommend Torpedo highly enough—it’s a must-do for both visitors and locals!

Adventure and Magic await! - Our family of 4 had an amazing adventure with Torpedo Tours on the evening manta tour! It was a wild night - a bit rough water but the crew was calm and attentive. We were treated with seeing so many mantas - had at least 5 flipping underneath us at one time. Anna and Eden were a lot of fun, knowledgable and showed leadership and confidence. A magical experience! Only regret was that we didn't bring a camera!

Dress warm on the way back - We are able to book the trip last minute and it’s beautiful to view the sunset and the coast lines. We did see a few manta rays and some fish. Just wished the guide have explained more details on how to use the snorkel equipment as I used it a few years ago and they only simply asked if you had snorkel experience before. So jumping in the ocean without remembering how to use it is a big minus. It would be more enjoyable if I remembered how to use the equipment. So please ask if it’s been a while. After the snorkeling, it’s very cold as the boat was fast so please pack extra clothes.
