Experience the Manta Ray Night Snorkel in Kona! After a brief 3-minute boat ride from the harbor, participants will enter the water and float on the surface while holding onto a specially designed light board. The powerful dive lights, exceeding 150,000 lumens, attract plankton, which in turn draw in the magnificent manta rays that glide and feed just inches below. This awe-inspiring, close-up encounter is guided by a professional team, including a licensed captain, swim guide, and certified lifeguard. Water time ranges from approximately 20 to 40 minutes, depending on various factors such as ocean conditions.

*Statistically, the later at night the excursion is, the more manta rays are seen, and the duration of their presence increases significantly! Earlier excursions tend to be more crowded, making it more challenging to observe manta rays.

Participants must be able to swim and feel comfortable in open ocean conditions. Wetsuits and lifejackets are available for optional rental. Complimentary masks and snorkels are provided, or participants may bring their own.

• Previous snorkeling experience is required
• Guests must be able to independently climb up a boat ladder
• Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions and safety briefings

• Not recommended for those who have recently undergone surgery or who may have mobility/physical restrictions.
• Maximum weight cannot exceed 275 pounds per guest.
