Great way to see the bay from the water - I enjoyed my kayaking experience with Chad and Maggie! The location was a quick taxi ride from the cruise port. The staff/guides were very friendly and accommodating, willing to provide a jacket since it was rainy (I had my own poncho so I didn't need it). Weather conditions including wind made it a challenging paddle, but we ventured as far as the opening to Hilo Bay and Chad shared lots of local history along the way. He also took lots of pics that he sent me afterwards, which I greatly appreciated. Maggie provided complimentary juice and chips after the paddle, and you can hose down and rinse off the salt water. Great experience with great people that I highly recommend!

Pleasant and peaceful - The guided tour made it so worthwhile. The scenery was amazing and so educational. We learned so much about the island and the people who live on it. The guide was so patient with our inexperienced family members.

Fun and tranquil! - We really enjoyed our guide, who is a native Hawaiian. He told us about the bay, the tsunamis that hit the area over the years and showed us the depth of the tsunamis that were marked on the palm tree on the island. We are an older couple and he was very patient and helpful as we awkwardly got in and out of the kayak!

Loved the tour- relaxing and great service - Such a fun trip! I loved my guide Aulki - he was so kind and patient. I was the only person signed up but he still did the tour with me. I would have been so bummed if it had gotten canceled, so that was very kind he still took me out! The water was pretty calm and it was a beautiful day!! I am still a novice kayaker so this was the perfect experience for me. I highly recommend booking with this company!!

Isaiah was a great guide... - Isaiah was a great guide for this fun excursion! He was friendly and helpful and made the afternoon lots of fun. Going out to Coconut Island on a Saturday really gave this out-of-town visitor a nice perspective of what Hilo daily life is all about.

Best Kayak Tour Imaginable - My husband and I did this excursion while in town with a Hawaiian island to island cruise. I booked the tour without going through the cruise line and I couldn’t be happier. Our guide, Morgan, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. After a few minutes I felt like part of his family. I truly enjoyed every minute and I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

April 5th - It was an enjoyable morning workout for the 2 of us as beginner kayakers. The time sent on the water very peaceful. All in all a great experience.

Don't book with them - Worst customer service. Save yourself time and money and don't use this company. We paid for the kayak excursion and didn't end up going because it rained so hard. The weather forecast was 34% chance of rain but it actually rains pretty heavy all day. We thought we would wait it out in hopes of even a drizzle but that didn't happen. They were not willing to work with us despite not even locals but out in the water. We were disappointed we lost our due to their policy of rain or shine. Kona side has very reasonably priced kayaking tours. Hawaii is a beautiful place to visit with friendly people so I'm not sure what happened with this one.
