Considered the “piko” (center) of the majestic mountains of Haleakalā, Kohala, Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa and Hualālai, the Mauna Lani is a special place to all who have the privilege of enjoying its beauty. Traditionally, lūʻaus are important family celebrations with a feast of favorite foods, sharing of moʻolelo (story telling), mele (music) and hula. Hale Hoaloha Lūʻau brings together all of these while sharing Mauna Laniʻs majestic history and the true essence of aloha, ʻohana (family) and kuleana (responsibility) with everyone in attendance.

The luau takes place at the stunning Mauna Lani, Auberge Collection in Kalāhuipuaʻa, a historic site where ancient Hawaiians excelled in aquaculture and where King Kamehameha would come to heal and engage in fishpond activities.
Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a traditional Oli (chant) to set the stage for initial activities with the performers….
The luau takes place at the stunning Mauna Lani, Auberge Collection in Kalāhuipuaʻa, a historic site where ancient Hawaiians excelled in aquaculture and where King Kamehameha would come to heal and engage in fishpond activities.
Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a traditional Oli (chant) to set the stage for initial activities with the performers. Following these activities, attendees can witness the pig being removed from the traditional imu pit before it is prepared for the Hawaiian buffet.
The event concludes with a captivating display of both traditional and contemporary Hula dances, as well as the impressive Samoan Siva Afi (fire knife dance).
