Aloha, Big Island!

As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for stress-free adventures that promise both fun and relaxation. Watching the molten lava dance and flow was a sight to behold, and the kids were absolutely mesmerized. We even enjoyed a delightful dinner at the Volcano House, with a perfect view of the eruption from our window seats. It was a dinner experience like no other!

Our adventure continued with a visit to the Rainbow Falls in Hilo. The kids loved the vibrant colors and the sound of the cascading water. It was the perfect spot for a family photo, and we couldn’t resist capturing the moment. Rebecca’s knowledge of the area meant we avoided the crowded spots and enjoyed a peaceful visit.

Black Sands and Coffee Delights

No trip to the Big Island would be complete without a visit to the famous Punalu’u Black Sand Beach. The kids were fascinated by the unique black sand and the sight of the Green Sea Turtles basking in the sun. It was a serene and beautiful experience that we all cherished.

Our final stop was the Ka’u Coffee Mill, where we learned about the coffee-making process and sampled some of the freshest coffee we’ve ever tasted. It was a delightful end to our day, and the kids even got to try some delicious pastries at the Punalu’u Bake Shop.

Overall, the Hawai’i Island Tour was a fantastic experience that allowed us to explore the Big Island in a stress-free and enjoyable way. Rebecca’s expertise and attention to detail made all the difference, and we left with memories that will last a lifetime.
