This was my second time... - This was my second time and it was easier this time. The first time we went a year ago, I had a hard time leaving my feet in the water. I felt invigorated afterwards.

Unique Experience with Real Benefits - We tried the deep ocean water foot soak in Kailua-Kona and it was a really cool and unique experience. The water is pumped from deep in the ocean and sits around 48 degrees, so yes—it’s definitely cold! But it was fascinating to try something so different. I could genuinely feel a difference in how my feet felt afterward. The soreness and foot pain I had from being on my feet and walking around all week noticeably improved after the soak. Just a heads up for anyone considering it—the water is very cold. My partner actually couldn’t keep his feet in it for very long. I personally didn’t find it too terrible and was able to stick with it, but everyone’s tolerance will be a little different. Overall, it was a really cool experience and something a bit out of the ordinary to try while in Kailua-Kona. Definitely worth checking out if you’re curious about the benefits of deep ocean water.

Chill out! - Fun experience! The water is cold and it takes a little to acclimate, but once you do, it feels great! Makka was a great hostess and it is a very chill experience. Be sure to do a salt tasting afterwards in the farm store!

Saltwater foot soak - It was a very unique experience... I was with my daughter and best friend... We absolutely loved it. Michael was so pleasant and fun. The water was cold but once your feet became accustomed, it was fine. We really enjoyed the experience and will do it again!

A wonderful surprise! - My husband and I had no idea what to expect with this tour, and we were beyond impressed with our time at the farm. We started in reverse order I think, with the foot soak and then the tour, with an hour in between. The foot soak in magnesium was quite an accomplishment, and just WOW dos we sleep beautifully. This is a must-do. A challenge but well worth it and we met some fabulous folks from all accross the country. The tasting room was delightful, and a fantastic farm shop! Stocking stuffer ideas for next year! Best of all was our tour guide, one of the original employees of the salt farm, she has been there many years and has incredibly knowledge of the operations, mission and vision of the farm. Her knowledge and kindness truly embody the mahalo spirit of the island and we are so grateful to have learned from her. My husband is low vision, and she took extra care to be sure he was safe and comfortable in the tour. Thank you so much for the amazing visit, and for the beautiful photograph on the beach. We look forward to returning soon and stocking up on all the salt blends and magnesium drops!

Chill on the Big Island - 48 degree deep sea water soak in an outdoor, ocean view, spa-like surrounding. Fun way to wrap up the tour and spend a bit more time enjoying nature. My husband did have a harder time with the cooler water temperature, however, I had no issues whatsoever (you can pull your feet out of the water if you need to!).

Not for us! - The water is extremely cold. I wouldn’t do it again. We did it for a few seconds and we were done. But after we did the free salt tasting and that was fun.
