Whether you’re a zipline devotee or an adventure newbie, this Kohala zipline escapade in Kapaau, a quaint town at the northernmost point of the Big Island, will be a thrilling experience you’ll always remember!
- Participants must weigh between 70 and 270 lbs (32 kilograms and 122 kilograms) and WILL BE WEIGHED AT CHECK-IN. Guests will NOT be refunded if they do not meet the weight restrictions.
- Lightweight pants, capris or knee-length shorts, and a light sweatshirt are recommended
- Guests must wear close-toed shoes
- Minor children require a parent or guardian to sign their participation agreement, and children between the ages of 8 and 13 require an adult to zip with them
- This tour is not recommended for expectant mothers or those with back or neck problems
- GUESTS MUST CHECK-IN 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO TOUR TIME

Kohala Zipline Station located in Kapaau in North Kohala. Driving directions from Kona/Kohala Resorts:
• Take Highway 19 (Queen Kaahumanu Hwy) north to Highway 270 (Akoni Pule Hwy).
• Turn left on to Highway 270 and continue approximately 21 miles to the intersection of Highway 270 and Hawi Road.
• Turn right on to Hawi Road. Kohala Zipline is the historic yellow building on the left behind the gas station.

Can't wait to come back! - INCREDIBLE! Guides were amazing. They helped my kids overcome fear of heights. They shared island history. My kids and I all say this was the pinnacle of our Hawaii vacation (which is saying a lot - we had a lot of adventures!).

Five Stars! - We had an absolute blast at Kohala Zip Line Adventure! There were six of us in our group, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The guides were incredible—so fun, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel completely safe and comfortable the whole time.
The course itself was beautiful, with amazing views and a perfect mix of excitement and scenery. Everything was very well organized, and you could tell they really care about giving people a great experience.
We were laughing the entire time and already talking about coming back. Highly recommend this for families or groups—it was such a fun memory for all of us! 5 stars all the way.

Beautiful rainforest ziplining - Devin and kody were good coaches. We had a lot of fun. The experience is adventurous for a regular family. I just wish they had better picture/video recordings but that doesnt take away anything from having FUN! The ride through several farms is also picturesque.

Super fun zipline adventure! - Four of us “older” adults went ziplining for the first time and had a blast! Tammy and Brogan were excellent guides and made sure we all felt safe! We live on the Big Island and will definitely recommend this trips to our future guests.

Great Experience for the whole family - Excellent time with very knowledgeable and reassuring tour guides Jake and Kodie. It was a beautiful experience with safety being their main concern and having a fun and exciting experience. Would definitely recommend doing this experience. Can’t wait to go back and take another tour with Hawaii Forest and Trail..

Safe, professional, and so much fun! - Our experience with Kohala Zipline was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Daven and the entire guide team were knowledgeable, incredibly professional, and created an environment that felt both efficient and extremely safe. From the initial safety briefing through each platform and landing, everything was handled with care and clarity.
If you’re like me, it can be hard to know from online reviews whether an adventure activity truly prioritizes safety. I can confidently say that Kohala Zipline does. The equipment, instructions, and attention to detail made us feel completely secure the entire time.
Beyond the ziplining itself, Daven and the guides brought the experience to life with stories about Hawaii, the course environment, and thoughtful recommendations for the rest of our trip.
The team also did a wonderful job helping the whole group work together smoothly, keeping things moving while making sure everyone felt comfortable and supported.
If you’re on the fence, take this as your sign to go for it. You’ll be in excellent hands.

Awesome zipline! - Jake and Davyn were awesome! The zip line was fun and the foliage beautiful! Jake and Davyn were knowledgeable about the area and the island and they were funny! We felt very safe and secure. We would definitely go again!

Very fun adventure! - Ziplining with our guides Tami and Davin was a great experience! The courses were beautiful and exhilarating, and safety was paramount at every moment. We not only had a fun time, but we also learned about the Hawaiian culture and history from our delightful guides. They also captured many great photos of us! Highly recommended for all ages!
