Sighisoara – Viscri – Brașov

Centrul Istoric Sighisoara - Begin the day with a city tour in Sighișoara after breakfast, admiring the country’s most stunning medieval townscape, often used as a film set. Visit the Clock Tower, the Church on the Hill, the fortified walls and towers, and the birthplace of Vlad Dracul, the Wallachian leader who inspired the Gothic character Count Dracula.

Viscri - Next, explore the picturesque village of Viscri. Seemingly frozen in the 19th century, it is away from main roads. Visit the fortified church and the summer residence of King Charles of Great Britain.

Brasov Historical Center - In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour in Brasov. Discover local history and visit the old town, reaching the panoramic view at the Black Tower.

Brasov – Bear Sanctuary – Peles Castle - Brasov

Libearty Bear Sanctuary Zarnesti - In the morning, visit the Bear Sanctuary, a refuge for mistreated bears in Romania. Learn about the bears’ current situation and observe them in their natural habitat.

Peles Castle - In the afternoon, tour Peleș Castle, the summer residence of the Romanian royal family. This modern palace, built in the late 19th century, resembles medieval castles. The Sinaia Monastery is another highlight.

Brasov – Dracula Castle – Transfagarasan – Sibiu

Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle) - Travel to Bran Castle, located on the former border between Transylvania and Walachia. Known as Dracula’s Castle, it was constructed in 1377 to protect the trade route between Transylvania and Walachia and has been expanded and restored several times.

Transfagarasan Highway - After lunch, drive up the Transfagarasan Highway to Balea Lake (June – October), or to Balea Waterfall otherwise. This “Highway in the clouds” was a grand project by Dictator Nicolae Ceausescu.

The Zosim Oancea Museum of Icons on Glass - Visit the small glass paintings museum in the charming village of Sibiel.

Sibiu – Corvin Castle – Alba Iulia – Cluj-Napoca

Sibiu - Start the morning with a city tour in Sibiu, Romania’s largest old town. Explore most of the Upper Town, including the Council Tower.
