• Bewiner - Discover Bulgaria through its traditional beverages, encapsulated in a glass. The journey begins with an engaging and informative overview of Bulgarian history and the evolution of wine in the region. Participants will explore Bulgaria’s primary wine regions and their distinct characteristics. The information is presented in an easy-to-understand manner, ensuring an enjoyable experience for both novices and seasoned wine enthusiasts. Visual aids, maps, and examples will enhance the presentation.
  Before the tasting commences, there will be an introduction to the fundamentals of proper wine tasting, particularly beneficial for those attending their first organized tasting. For more experienced attendees, in-depth questions about the wine regions, grape varieties, and terroir are welcome.
  The tasting includes five local wines, each paired with cheese and bread. The wines increase in intensity, offering a journey through various parts of the country. The second part of the experience introduces rakia, a strong fruit brandy that is the most traditional and cherished drink not only in Bulgaria but throughout the Balkan Peninsula.

On this 2-hour journey into Bulgarian culture, you’ll explore over 3,000 years of wine and rakia-making traditions. A local host will guide you through five local wine varieties and the Balkans’ most iconic drink - rakia - perfectly paired with traditional bites.
