Grindelwald is a picturesque village located at 1,034 feet above sea level, with charming chalets dotting the rolling hills.

Regardless of the cold, there’s no need to worry about harsh winds disrupting your day! Occasionally, markets in Grindelwald offer delightful snacks to enjoy as you prepare for the journey to Mount First.

• First - From Grindelwald, a cable car ride will take you to Grindelwald First, a minor summit on Mount Schwazhorn’s face. Primarily a cable car station, it also offers numerous attractions.

With a variety of thrilling activities, exquisite dining, and breathtaking views available, you’ll find plenty to do upon reaching Mount First. Alternatively, you might choose to relax and savor a meal at the First Mountain Restaurant.

It can be quite chilly at this elevation. Dress warmly to fully appreciate the majestic mountainside.

• Bachalpsee - After spending time at Mount First, embark on a hike to Bachalpsee, led by your tour guide. The hike covers a total of 6 kilometers. Enjoy stretching your legs and breathing in the pure, fresh air while soaking in the serene surroundings. The walk to and from the lake takes approximately 50 minutes.
