  • Nicholas Quarter - Our starting point is also the only “real” old town of Berlin. But how old is it actually, especially having a war with rain of bombs in mind?

An interesting and enjoyable bike tour around Berlin. - Carl our guide was very informative and interesting. It was a cold day and he kept us in the sun not shade which we appreciated. The bikes were good too.

Learn Berlin to know in a different way! - Very nice tour. Thanks Lukas! You guided us through Berlin with a lot of nice stories and information. Also the less touristic, but historical important places were well appreciated.

Berlin sights East and West - Easy to book and loved the specific start time.. Very nice light and sturdy bikes with helmets available. Cycled about 10km at a very nice pace and saw lots of sights around the city. Vincent the guide was great. Incredibly informative and engaging. Brought the history and the sights to life with humour and compassion. Put the Wall before and after the fall into context. Some great recommendations 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed the morning tour.

Our group was 10 people... - Our group was 10 people and Juliette was a great guide. I liked how they broke the larger group of 22 into 2 smaller groups so it was a manageable size. It was great to see some things we wouldn’t have seen but you don’t have much time at any one stop so it’s really an overview of venues and if you want to really spend time at a place, you’ll need to go on your own. I wish I’d realized that up front as we held off going to the wall because we were going to see it on the tour and then didn’t really see much on the tour. But was great other than that, we learned a lot and felt it was worth it.

Mostly Cold War rather than Nazi tour - The tour was very enjoyable and well run. It covered areas I had not experienced before in previous tours. I had taken the tour to give my friends who were interested in the Nazi years an exposure to the historical sites, however many sites were passed by without comment. Nevertheless the tour was a good one, but it was really about the Cold War rather than WW2. I would make this clear in the tour description.

BEWARE!! - Be cautious before signing up for this tour. They will cancel it on the morning of your reservation if they do not meet a 5 person quota. To be fair, it is printed on the agreement, but is not exceptionally conspicuous. This happened to me and by the time I received notification, it was too late for me to book something else with a different company. My personal opinion is this policy is an unfair one. There are going to be times that your tour is not as lucrative as others. These are the “ebbs and flows” of running a business, and so those employees that were going to work my tour now get a day off and they not making money anyway! So why not just follow through to avoid punishing the people who have, in good faith, signed up for your offer, because it can mess up a tourist’s entire itinerary, as it did mine!!
