The was very knowledgeable. The house had alot of history.
Would have liked more history on the Harrison family
I learned so much. The house is beautifully kept and the tour guide ( I forgot his name) was fabulous!!!!!!!!
The tour guide was knowledgeable and made the history enjoyable. Priced reasonable. Thanks The Casey's.
Gorgeous property. We wish more docents had been available on the grounds and in the museum. We learned some great facts
And enjoyed the landscape.
Enjoyed all facets. The house tour was good and I even walked down to the river to see where the settlers landed.
Friendly and entertaining hosts. Very informative.
Rick...tour guide....AMAZING! The whole experience...I am not a native to Virginia...I had no idea there was so much history here...
The Berkeley Plantation grounds takes you back in time to another era. Our tour guide was phenomenal. The home is approximately one mile from the main road, gravel path- noted to accommodate horse/buggy in the early years, surroundings are authentic and historical relevance is noteworthy. I highly recommend to all.
Tour guide for the house tour was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the plantation, while keeping the tour very interesting. He also was very humorous. This tour is highly recommended
The tour guide was great! Also loved the basement exhibit and the gift shop prices were reasonable
Our guide Clarence was fantastic. Beautiful location, well kept, and loved having the ability to self-tour the grounds.
Shane, the guide was very knowledgeable, the tour was very informative, and he was able not to meet, but exceed, expectations placed by us on the history of the household and plantation, and historical context and consequences! Should be at the top of the list of everyone visiting the Richmond-Williamsburg area. Will definitely go there again!
Great experience and guide!
Our tour guide was delightful and very knowledgeable. He kept us laughing but also well informed of the history
Awesome place. Very enthusiastic tour guide (Donna) who really knew the details about the historic plantation.
The tour guide was fantastic and there were a lot of artifacts to look at with clear descriptions. The ideas we came up with as we walked the grounds: We'd like to see more of an emphasis on the shipbuilding and the bourbon-whiskey production, and we'd really like to see the slave quarters finished. I'm thrilled that the archaeology team has possibly found the slave graveyard. I liked how the guide said they needed to be recognized. Absolutely! Thanks for a great day. I feel like I could teach someone else the property's history because of the guide, the timelines, and the films.
We were blown away with this plantation. It was gorgeous inside and out. Our guide, Melissa, did a fantastic job and we were sad when the tour was over. My children loved exploring the grounds and the scavenger hunt they gave them. The staff was welcoming and kind and made our experience wonderful. I greatly appreciated the price of the tour as it wasn't as high as other places, but they could definitely get away with charging more. It was a great experience and am so glad we did it.
Excellent, informative tour. Guide was terrific! House and grounds are beautiful. Thank you!
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job of telling the history of the plantation. I had no idea of the role this plantation played in our country's early history. And our guide made it all come alive by her own enthusiasm and explanations. My favorite plantation out of all those visited.
Clarence- our tour guide was wonderful. He was knowledgeable about the property and delivered the material with humor and respect. I will recommend the plantation to family and friends to visit.
Beautiful mansion, tour guide was very informative. The history that surrounds the mansion came to life as we went room to room. Love it.
Great price for all of the great things you get to see there! The tour guide was awesome and shared with us some archaeological finds made. It would be great for those discoveries to be on display in the coming years.
Loved the property and the guide was super informative. Another Virginia piece of history that is a must do. You can’t beat the price! Thank you for hosting us!
I loved the history and sites at Berkeley Plantation. It is very lovely.
Fantastic tour! Tour guide was incredible! Interesting history!
House was a little more rundown on the exterior than I anticipated, but grounds were well kept and tour was good.
Shane presented so much information about the 18th century! I learned more from the tour than school.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and extremely warm. He gave wonderfully detailed descriptions of the history of the plantation and interjected with many moments of levity in his presentation. The grounds are beautiful and the collection of artifacts on display in the basement is superb. It was a very worthwhile visit that I enjoyed immensely.
It would have been nice to see the 2nd floor of the house. Other than that, great tour and history lesson
The grounds were well maintained and the guided house tour was very informative.
Wonderful tour guide. She stayed late for us. Beautiful place!
We enjoyed the Berkley Plantation; finding out all the history that has taken place on it's grounds and property was amazing. Our tour guide was very pleasant and informative.
All facets of Berkeley were handled in an outstanding manner.....the ticketing (online and at the ticket/gift shop, the museum & movie location, We were also very impressed guide; her enthusiasm, knowledge and presentation. The lineage of the Harrison family was new to us and quite remarkable. Our later walk through the kitchen, grounds and garden was not only beautiful, but gave us a better understanding of life in those difficult times. As a bonus, we were give a couple recommendations for a lunch spot on the way back to Williamsburg.....great. Thanks for your efforts in the awesome task of maintain a vital part of our nation’s heritage!
