Very friendly reception from all personnel who were delighted to share history, surrounding stories And experiences they had from the area.
The experience was unique, something that will be remarkable for the rest of our lives. Just going around of this beautiful place made us to remember how blessed we are to know more about the American culture and how proud we are to live in a nation with diversity and freedom. Thank you people in The Berkeley Plantation for sharing this amazing place! I will go back soon!!!
Our guide was FANTASTIC!!!
Excellent tour guide. Interesting stories about the famous people who spent time at the plantation. Lots to see on grounds and good introductory film. Will be nice to have second floor open.
Donna, our tour guide was excellent! Very knowledgeable about the history of the plantation and the history of early America. She really made our tour very enjoyable. Her recall and attention to detail was wonderful. We will return!
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining regarding the history of the plantation and those who lived there. The grounds were beautiful and nice to stroll through. We went all the way down to the river.
Excellent tour guide! One of the best sites on our trip!
Our tour guide was very informative. Allowing for questions. Sales clerk very kind and thoughtful. She also answered some questions we forgot to ask our guide.
The tour guide was excellent and everyone we encountered was extremely helpful.
Great tour guide, very knowledgeable and told interesting stories :)
It was an amazing experience! I had no idea there was so much history tucked in that piece of land. We loved our tour guide. His knowledge and ability to connect with his guests was amazing. I can't remember his name, but he was a tall, thin, African American gentleman. Very classy! I want to go back and soak in some more. I'll take other friends with me. Also compliments to the lady at the front desk. She was very welcoming and knowledgable as well. She said she's been there 25 years. You can tell she loves what she does! Beautiful property and can't wait until the 3rd floor opens up! Elena
The tour guide was excellent! Knowledgeable, great personality, made the visit feel like you were back in their times. Would recommend Berkeley Plantation to everyone.
The tour and related information provided helped us understand the rich history and the spectrum of great people who have visited this plantation! It is a special place and the tour helped us understand and appreciate this.
We had a fantastic guide. Corey was very knowledgeable and interesting!
The tour guide was so knowledgeable and charismatic. I didn’t want to leave because he made everything so interesting! My boyfriend and I were incredibly satisfied. Thank you! And we will definitely be back for the slave exhibit when it is created!
First, our guide was very informative and gave g reat tour. Impressed with care and condition of house with no outside support. Enjoyed the history on site.
Loved the inside and outside portions of the tour. I could spend hours there and would love to come back. I do wish the tour guides could have given some scholarly foundation how they knew things were true: corroboration through letters, archaeology, newspapers at the time. I wish there could have been a verbal overview of the outside, as the brochure is too small to give enough detail and the grounds not thoroughly labelled. Would have appreciated more detail about the graveyard's inhabitants, though Taps and First Landing exhibits were spectacular.
Tour guide was excellent!
Our docent was magnificent! Very well informed and entertaining.
We thoutoughly enjoyed our tour and highly recommend it. Clarence, out your guide, was terrific! We will come back the next time we are in the area.
Our experience here was wonderful! It is a hidden gem in a history rich part of the United States. The story of the original residents (First Thanksgiving, the owners of Berkeley II, the Union occupation (the writing of Taps), and the amazing story of restoration made history come to life! To step foot on the floors that hosted the first 10 Presidents of the United States is an opportunity that should not be missed.
Tour guide was knowledgeable and the experience was an enjoyable one!
Loved the tour guide, her dress, and overall knowledge of the history of the plantation as well as her personality! Enjoyed walking the grounds and the beautiful river views.
A little short for the amount of $$ but the tour guide was excellent. Would have enjoyed hearing about the paranormal experiences at Berkeley. Not a proper plantation without a few ghosts :)
EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE FOR ALL 14 IN OUR PARTY FROM YOUNG TO OLD. VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE TOUR GUIDE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Very informative and fun. I would love to be able to see the whole house!!
Knowledgeable tour guide, beautiful interior, grounds well kept. Just a very satisfying visit overall.
We loved your beautiful plantation home, grounds and history. our guide could have been more knowledgeable about aspects of the history relating to native Americans but was rather fixated on the furniture, social life and ghosts .
Our tour guide was extremely informative. When he was asked questions unrelated to the tour but related to events of that time frame, his responses were quick and accurate.
