- Tipu Sultan Fort and Palace - Bangalore KR Market - After meeting and greeting, the Govt. of India Approved and licensed guide shall accompany you and show Tipu Palace. Its a 230 year old palace, all in teak wood, and built in typical Islamic architecture, showing the diwas-e-am and diwan-e-khas. Also, a brief history of Tipu Sultan, his trysts with the French, the Anglo-Mysore wars, his contributions and controversies shall all be discussed. A visit to the Museum in the premises throws more light on how he came to be known as the Grandfather of Rocket Science in the whole world!
- Kote Venkataramana Temple - This temple is adjoining the Tipu Palace. It was built in 1690 AD by Chikkadevaraja Wodeyar and showcases wonderful stone sculptures of Indian mythological characters on its walls. The highly carved and ornate stone columns inside the temple reflect high quality workmanship of our artists. Hindu devotees have to book months in advance to offer “Kalyanotsava” (marriage ceremony of Lord Vishnu with Lakshmi) in this temple. It is said that the Garuda Gamba of this temple saved Tipu Sultan from a cannon ball attack from Cornwallis which would have otherwise fell on his palace. The next stop is the Bangalore Fort which is a 10 minute walk from here.
- Bangalore Fort - Kempegowda, the founder of Bangalore, built a mud fort in the 16th CE which was rebuilt in stone by Hyder Ali in 1760s. Only about 5% of this Fort remains and is now open to visitors. Very neatly maintained, this largely unknown monument is worth visiting.
- KR Market - If you ever wanted to see typical India in action, this is the place. There is enough and more in this Market and its environs for all your sensory organs. Vendors, workers, coolies, hawkers, buyers, cows, dogs, cylces, rickshaws, bikes, scooters, etc jostle for space with each other. Heaps of vegetables, fruits, flowers, spices, etc are found everywhere. But there is order, in this disorder! Come and experience this pulsating and throbbing Indian Market of essentials.
- Shri Adinath Jain Shwetamber Mandir - Jainism is one the oldest religions of the world, originating in India, with at least a 2500 year old history. It is in fact, a religion contemporary to Buddhism. The principle tenets of Jainism are - Non-violence and Vegetarianism. The Jain community forms less than 0.4% of India’s population but they contribute more than 24% to personal tax collections in the country. Jains own more than 28% Indian property and has the highest literacy rate at 94%. Nearly half of India’s stockbrokers are Jains. Their contribution to the success of Indian business houses is worth its weight in gold. Entry to a Jain temple is subjected to certain conditions and restrictions.

Great 3 hours tour! - Great tour with a very knowledgable and passionatel guide Varun! Beeing on the market was a real step into the Indian atmosphere and culture. I enjoyed it a lot! Also visits to palace, Fort and temple were really nice and Varun shared a lot of information also beyond these monuments. As we were just a group of 3 participants it was very individual and Varun always had an eye on us and our wellbeing during the tour. Three ours went by so fast... Thank you for this unique experience!

Blown away by Bangalore! - Varun was amazing! I had a low point of energy at the start as the jet lag hit…. He suddenly appeared with a kitkat! And his knowledge is second to none. My husband and I learnt so much and were wowed by the places he took us…. The flower market was AMAZING! We experienced and learnt so much that we wouldn’t have done if we tried to do this ourselves. Book Varun! I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Great Experience, Needs a New Name! - This was a great experience: friendly and knowledgeable guide, easy pace, great sights! They absolutely need to rewrite the English name of this tour. Throbbing? No. I don't even know what the writer meant to say. We took a real gamble booking this tour because, judging from the name, we weren't sure the guide would be able to speak English fluently. Our guide was, in fact, fluent in English, and excellent at her job. But we were so very close to not booking it because of that title.

Our only regret is not doing more walk with Varun !
Thank you again for the wonderful experience

Great tour of Old Bangalore! - It was an amazing tour!! We did the Old Bangalore Heritage Walk of the temple, summer palace, markets and jain temple. Our guide was great and really knowledgeable and even talked one of the staff to let us into a gated area at the fort! She had so much advice about how to cross the streets and where to shop for specific souvenirs! Would definitely recommend to others!

Fantastic experience of Bengaluru - Our guide Raghu and his apprentice made us feel as if we are dear family guests visiting India. He was very attentive and adapted to our wishes. We had a great tour and the feeling to not only see listed monuments but touch Indian culture. It could not have been any better! We highly recommend Raghu, as it was such a joyful experience.
Thank you very much, Raghu!

Bustling Bengaluru! - We thoroughly enjoyed our walk through old Bengaluru with Mr. Ramesh. Mr. Ramesh was very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited and about lots of other topics we had questions about regarding Bengaluru and India. All information was delivered in an engaging way. Mr. Ramesh made sure we were all comfortable during the walk. The highlight for all of us was the beautiful sights of the flower market - just wonderful.
Mr. Ramesh kindly accompanied us in tuk-tuks back to the starting point where we were being picked up. We all highly recommend this tour.
