Would definitely do it again - We did the tour with Emil from Bird Trekking Belize. Emil’s knowledge was outstanding in every aspect—covering Mayan history, the natural environment, the history of Belize, and all other aspects. The lunch was excellent, too. Furthermore, he was punctual regarding the pickup time. Another major advantage is his preference for an early start, allowing you to beat the crowds while the water is still clear.

Exciting and educational caving experience - The ATM cave was an amazing experience. We walked through a rain forest to get to the cave, immediately swam into the cave; and waded and rock scrambled the rest of the way. Our guide, Hugh, was a wealth of knowledge. We learned the history of the Mayan people, the rituals performed in the cave system, all while keeping us safe from the many hazards. Inside the cave system were spectacular displays of stalactites and stalagmites, columns, living creatures, surely this was the basis for the first Indiana Jones movie.
