Explore Actun Tunichil Muknal, the unique site in Belize where visitors can walk among preserved Maya ceremonial artifacts, untouched for over a millennium. Begin your journey with a 7:00 am pickup from your accommodation in Hopkins Village, then travel inland through the Maya Mountains. Enjoy a 45-minute hike through lush broadleaf rainforest, crossing the Roaring River three times on foot, before swimming a short distance to enter the cave.

Inside, a licensed guide will lead you past stunning calcite formations, ancient ceramic vessels, and ritual offerings, culminating in the Cathedral where the famous skeletal remains, known as the Crystal Maiden, are located. This is a protected archaeological site, and entry is limited to certified guides only.
