Must-do adventure in Belize - A fantastic, educational boat ride then a stunning walk through ancient Maya. Xavier was a phenomenal guide and teacher.

New River/Lamanai tour - Our guide Nathan was excellent at pointing out the wildlife and giving an accurate history of the Maya people and the timeline of Lamanai.

Amazing, a must do! - Junior was our tour guide and he was truly amazing! He would identify all types of animals and maneuver the boat to the spot to show us. He could spot these animals as he was traveling and I was amazed. We saw tree bats, crocodiles, all types of birds, a boa constrictor and howler monkeys. He was knowledgeable about the ruins and gave us insight into the Mayan culture. We also felt safe. The group was the perfect size as well. Junior, thanks so much!!!!

Fun and informative - Our driver Jose was awesome. He was very accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable. We felt like family. I would highly recommend he and the tour. We loved the boat ride and seeing the temples from 100BC!

Great visit! - We had a such great time on our tour, Jose was fantastic and our guide, Julian, was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed learning about the history of the Mayan and the river boat ride was so much fun! We got to see a bit of wildlife during the day. Lunch was a traditional Belizian meal prepared by Julian’s mom and family with a wildfire oven - what a treat!.

Great day trip - My family loved the trip to Lamanai. Mayan ruins were amazing. Elio was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and personable. Food was delicious. I would highly recommend this tour.

Submerged Crocodile in the Jungle - This was such an amazing experience. The details of the images in the ruins are a work of art. This is something you have to see with your own eyes in order to believe. I have read a lot of books about ancient civilizations (Egypt, Ghana, Kush, Mayan, Olmec, Aztecs, etc.) and, thus, I have seen a lot of depictions of statues and ruins in the books that I have read, but seeing them in person is a completely different experience. If you love history, not just what you were taught in school then you will love this tour. Our tour guide Nathan was super knowledgeable. He is also half Mayan so he has a lot of insight about their culture. It was a long days journey from Caye Caulker to Orange Walk (where Lamani is located) so I would recommend either doing this trip from Belize City or someplace closer but no matter what, you should definitely take the time to do this trip if you are in Belize.

Excellent tour with very knowledgeable guides - This was a well run tour with extremely knowledgeable guides. We began with a ride on the new river and saw some wildlife along the way. The Mayan ruins were amazing to see and our guide brought the city to life for us. The Mayans were (are) a most impressive people.
