Hol Chan has flourished into a distinctive sanctuary, boasting vibrant coral formations and abundant marine life.
Experience a refreshing 35-minute boat ride from the port of Belize, passing by mangrove islands to reach the first stop, Caye Caulker. This is Belize City’s second-largest island, offering a stunning view of the barrier reef. A 15-minute stop allows for restroom use and a change of clothing. Then, it’s a short 10-minute boat ride to Hol Chan. Enjoy 45 minutes of snorkeling at Hol Chan, where you can admire the beautiful coral reef and fish, followed by 30 minutes of snorkeling with sea turtles and rays. After snorkeling, savor a snack and some delightful rum punch.
- Caye Caulker - On the return journey to Caye Caulker, enjoy a beach break and a meal. The tour includes a stop at the back of the island to hand-feed tarpon. Spend an hour on the island before heading back to Belize City, where you will be dropped off at the port.

Known in Mayan as ‘little channel’, this marine reserve is unquestionably one of the premier diving locations in the Caribbean, particularly within Belize. The focal point of the reserve is a narrow break in the reef (referred to as a quebrada), with a width of barely 25 yards and a depth of 30 feet, situated approximately 4 miles southeast of San Pedro. Over time, Hol Chan has developed into an extraordinary sanctuary featuring robust coral structures and an abundant assortment of sea organisms. Following this, we will make our way to the adjacent Turtle Garden, where participants have the opportunity to snorkel or dive, coming face to face with delighted Sea Turtles and Southern Stingrays. Upon arrival, visitors are often greeted by the frenzied activity of swirling sharks and stingrays vying for food scraps. These marine beings exhibit a significant degree of comfort around those diving and snorkeling.
