- The Belgrade Fortress - Following hotel pick-up, the journey will proceed to Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park. This historic site marks the origins of Belgrade as a human settlement, making it the perfect starting point for exploring the fascinating history of Belgrade, known as the ‘Crossroads of the Worlds’.
Visitors will be treated to stunning views at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, as well as New Belgrade and Zemun, and can explore the impressive open-air exhibition at the Military Museum.
- Knez Mihailova - After exploring the Belgrade Fortress, the tour continues to the city’s heart, Republic Square, featuring a monument to Prince Michael and the buildings of the National Theater and National Museum. In the lively Knez Mihailova pedestrian street area, participants will have some free time and a 30-minute refreshment break, with one drink included in the tour price.
- St. Sava Temple - Post-break, the tour resumes with a panoramic ride, showcasing Terazije with the renowned Moskva Hotel, National Assembly, City Council (‘Old Court’), Kneza Miloša Street (where some remnants of recent conflicts are still visible), the upscale residential area of Dedinje, the Memorial of Marshall Tito, and the Red Star soccer stadium. The ride concludes with a visit to St. Sava Cathedral, one of the world’s largest churches. This church, dedicated to a Serbian medieval prince and saint, boasts the world’s largest mosaics, covering an interior area of approximately 17,000 square meters. A must-see attraction.
- Patriarchate of the Serbian Orthodox Church - Following the visit to St. Sava Cathedral, the tour continues with a panoramic ride to see more of Belgrade’s highlights. This segment includes the Slavija Roundabout with its fountain, King Milan St., known as “The spine of Belgrade”, leading to the “Old Town” and passing by the Orthodox Cathedral (1845) and the Patriarchate of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The tour also includes a view of Princess Ljubica’s Residence, the first modest ruler’s palace from the time when Serbia gained independence from the Ottomans, and the famous Question Mark ‘?’ Inn, the city’s oldest restaurant (1823), uniquely named in the world.
