Well researched and handled with sensitivity - A fascinatingly moving telling of the world’s most famous ship. I spent many hours there reading everything. Every story was handled with the knowledge that the names, photos and objects each represent a real person who experienced this tragedy.
Not only was the story of Titanic herself told but so was the story of the people of Belfast - the preceding history of the industries that supported the local economy. So much research and effort has been put in.
I did find that in a couple of places the timeline skipped a couple of things but nonetheless in most areas it flowed well. The ride was thoroughly immersive and it felt like I was actually in the dock.
The staff were great - easy to talk to and have in depth conversations with. I think out of all museums I’ve ever been to this is the first one where I genuinely got the sense that the staff truly care about the subject matter.
The penultimate gallery was very well done and incredibly thought provoking. I had a long chat with one of the staff members whilst there. I think there could’ve been a few more artefacts dotted around but recognise that due to the nature of the ship there are limited items to display, and I completely respect the ethos of not having anything that was actually taken from the wreck.
I have been fascinated by the story of Titanic for most of my life. It was a real honour to be able to see where Titanic spent the majority of her short life. That you to all involved for preserving the story for future generations like me.

Great day! - Wonderful day at The Titanic museum. So much to see and read. The interactive parts, especially at the end were great. The wall with the survivors and lost people's names really hits home just how many people had to suffer this awful tragedy. Seeing some original artifacts such as the life jacket, deck chair etc was very unexpected and so sad. Additional to this museum entry we also had entry to the SS Nomadic which I believe is the last starling boat. That was very interesting and nice to be able to board it and wander around. Initially I thought the ticket price was quite high however once we saw the building and entered realised it was more than worth it. Great day out for adults, my child did get a bit fed up and it may have been a bit boring for him with so much to read throughout the exhibit. There was a photo opportunity at the end which was great and a lovely gift shop selling lots of Titanic and Irish gifts. Also some great features like the rooms, letters written on board and artifacts recovered afterwards. I would recommend and would like to return again- (just without any children🤣).

Thought-provoking exhibit, and fantastic tour from ‘Pip’. - I absolutely loved my visit to the Titanic Museum in Belfast. The entire experience was deeply thought-provoking and so respectfully done. I really appreciated how the museum focuses on the construction of the ship and the incredible heritage of Belfast, rather than feeling like it exploits the tragedy. The loss and catastrophe are still acknowledged, but in a way that is informative, considerate, and genuinely moving.
We visited on a Saturday, and it was very busy when we first arrived in the morning. Busy enough that I do think the museum could consider reducing the number of tickets sold so it’s more comfortable on weekends. However, we had planned to stay for the whole day, and being able to return after our guided tour made a huge difference; the experience was much calmer and far more enjoyable later on when there were fewer people walking the exhibit.
We also did the guided tour and our guide, ‘Pip’, was exceptional. His passion, knowledge, and storytelling brought everything to life, from the history of the area to the decisions made on that fateful night. The way he overran the tour made us feel genuinely valued and completely immersed in the experience, especially given that we’d paid extra for the tour (White Star Premium). It felt personal, special, and incredibly engaging. I was honestly quite emotional by the end. He constantly checked that everyone was happy with timings and comfortable with the weather when outside, and his tour was without doubt the highlight of my trip to Belfast. He deserves acknowledgement from management, because if I ever return I’ll be asking for him!
Overall, a fantastic and memorable visit! Highly recommended.

A MUST visit. Excellent exhibition. - Really well set out with many interesting ways to tell the story of the building of the Titanic , the stories of the different passengers and crew and the sad ending. We were kept interested throughout. A group of lovely school children were just in front of us as we worked our way round and when we go to the sinking part they were all sombre. It’s so well told. There is even a gentle ride to enjoy midway.
We booked online to get a cheaper ticket. Allow 2-21/2 hours. Didn’t try the cafes . The gift shop was well stocked and reasonable. There are lockers in the basement for hand luggage /small bags coats. They costs £5.

You will need at least 2 hours to see everything. - From beginning to end, this was an immersive experience not to be missed. The exhibits were fantastic, and the artefacts were so interesting. The ride up the tower was good as you were amongst thousands of riveters. No wonder some went deaf.
We went at 9am and it was busy by half past. There's an underground car park but we didn't use it as we were in a motorhome. We used an all day car park across the road.
The cafe was full at lunchtime, and the only alternative was the Pantry but the food wasn't our taste.

Spectacular museum - The imposing museum tells the story of Titanic from a Belfast perspective. The focus is on the Harland and Wolff shipyards and the construction of the ship. What was new for me was the part about the industrialisation of Belfast, the rooms on shipbuilding and shipbuilding technology at the turn of the century and the very moving room with the sound documents of survivors of the sinking. The spaces for the ride and the sinking itself, on the other hand, offer rather little new for Titanic nerds. The Nomadic is really interesting, the ship is lovingly restored and in video projections a Stewart, a heater and the captain tell the story of the tender. Visitors should also visit the surrounding area with Harland & Wolff’s old docks and treat themselves to lunch or tea at the Titanic Hotel, which is located in the old administration building directly opposite the shipyard.

It was underwhelming - We were excited to see the Titanic museum and went into it with a very positive attitude. The historical context of Belfast the time before and during the time of the construction of the Titanic was thorough. I think we would’ve enjoyed the entire tour more if we had a guide who was explaining the various exhibits to us. By the time we got to the part about the actual voyage of the Titanic and the people on board we had read and followed many static exhibitions. It was also a disconcerting use of lights that made me feel dizzy and my companion as well. The Museum did not capture for us the emotion of the Titanic and the loss of lives in the tragedy of it all.
