See the real history on the streets of Belfast - A fascinating and thought provoking look at Belfast recent history that gave me a far more balanced version than the one I had on the British TV news in the 70s and 80s. A reminder that trauma lies just beneath the surface everywhere that has experienced war - and lasts for generations unless deep work is done to listen to different perspectives. It was good to hear from Arthur about the people and communities who are building those bridges. And to realise that these gates still shut EVERY night.

Ideal to explore by bike! - Good to do with a guide and by bike. You can see so much more of Belfast by bike. And the guide tells interesting things about the city and its history. Recommended🚲

Highly recommendable! - It was at truely great experience, our guide was friendly, fast in creating connections with all participants in the group. He is very knowledgeable and nuanced in his views and telling of the conflicts - because of the important focus on also building bridges.

Exceptionally good tour that lasted over 3hours - The tour was done by Experience Ireland and was one of the best tours we have ever done. It was actually 3 + hours and exceptional value. The guide was very knowledgeable and kept providing information while we walked, not just when we stopped.

Fascinating walking tour through Belfast describing their history of conflict. - Steve was an incredible guide with a brilliant and balanced information about Irish history and conflicts dating back to the 12th century. It helped clarify the complicated history of the Troubles that as foreigners are hard to comprehend. Highly recommend.

Outstanding and thoroughly enjoyable - An absolutely outstanding trip learning about the history of Belfast especially the causes and reasons for the troubles through the 60’s-90’s. Our guide Steve was simply superb. Helped us understand both sides of the story with a non judgmental perspective. Having family from Belfast this trip helped me understand some of the stories I had heard and see both sides. Definitely recommended!!

Do it without hesitation! - After seeing the price of the Back Taxi tours, we turned to the walking tour, and it was the best decision we made. An incredible experience walking in Belfast, off the beaten path, with our guide Arthur, who is funny, charming, enthusiastic, and knows Belfast well because he has lived there. A treasure trove of knowledge. And a very good-looking guy ;) Thank you, Arthur, you were truly great.
