- Shankill Road - The Bayardo Bar attack occurred on 13 August 1975 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. A Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) unit, led by Brendan McFarlane, executed a bombing and shooting attack on a pub on Aberdeen Street in the loyalist Shankill area. The IRA claimed the pub was targeted due to its frequentation by Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF) members. Four Protestant civilians and one UVF member were killed, with over fifty injured.
