Ideal for closing holidays, before departure - We were in Tamassa, had cleared the rooms in the morning, and with time to kill waiting for our shuttle to the airport scheduled for late afternoon.
It was the perfect time to visit this museum, about 10 minutes walk from Tamassa.
It's not very big, but we still spent a little hour there. Plus it's air conditioned, so pretty nice when you're inside.
The museum is well arranged, and has a small souvenir shop with several products representative of the Island. We had a great time.

Beautiful collection! - Very small museum that takes only 20-30 minutes if you do not linger too much, very pretty, has a magnificent collection of shells. The kids loved it!

World of Seashells - a hidden gem - We didn’t have great expectations when we went ( to be honest!) but the museum far exceeded those expectations. The shells are beautiful, are presented beautifully and the museum is properly curated - most of the collection dates from the 18th century and there are clear explanations in English and French of the historical role of shells. Magdalena, the lady at reception, was also very friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit.

Extreme variety of mussels - The museum was close to our hotel. We used that.
We liked it very much, lots of beautiful shells and information about the environment.
It was worth it for us

Amazing experience with shells - Their collection of seashells is really amazing. The info provided was incredible. It's definitely worth seeing. I had no idea how many different seashells existed and how valuable they were to the eco system

Woman was working there was hiding so she could go home early - Absolute disgrace. The lady working there in the afternoon of sunday 4th Feb should be fired!
Last entry was 3pm. We were there at 2:40pm knocking but theyd closed everything. When we looked inside a woman could see us knock but was hiding behind a banner so she didnt have to let us in. Perhaps so she could go home early?
Extremely disappointing. If you go then go early, the woman there certainly will
