Highly recommend! - A unique way to experience the Great Wall if you are an avid hiker. You can see both the unrestored and restored sections. A guide was essential and I would not attempt alone. The tour logistics were professionally coordinated by Lily. Excellent communication. My tour guide Jiang was wonderful.

Sensational hiking tour - I had a very nice hike across the unrestored to the tourist part of the wall. The transfer was fine so far. I was picked up at the hotel on time in the morning and dropped off again later in the afternoon. Since I was traveling alone, I hired a private hiking guide, which I can only recommend to anyone. The booking also went through the same agency as the transfer. He was very friendly and explained everything to me and also knew exactly how access to the not quite official part of the wall worked. The track has about 10km and 600m altitude, so you should be fit and wear good footwear. Was a super historic hike with best sunny November weather.

Very cool experience for hikers 😄 - The driver was very nice and the car was quite luxurious 😄. You will have to hike 30 mins from the village to the wall, it is a steep and nice hike following the farmer guide. From there you will be walking on the great wall. The first part it's going to be a bit more demanding but also super beautifull, i was alone almost the whole part. You will then reach the touristic part (Muttanyau) which is "less" intersting if you like to hike alone, since it will be crowded. The only problem i encountered was the guard that didn't let me go through so i had to walk back a little and then i just climbed the wall down ( you don't have to do that ) instead of going back to the entrance and than hike back to Muttanyau through the woods on the right side of the wall. Once you reach Muttanyau you can just walk all the way to the "gondola" that will being you down to the village where a shuttle bus or a 20 min walk will bring you to where the driver will be waiting for you 😄. Super experience, highly reccommended. You will be able to take pictures of yourself on the wall with no one around, which feels special 💫

Great trekking and a chance to escape the crowds - My trip was a great success. It began with a smooth pick-up from my hotel at the agreed time. The drive to the village was very comfortable, and the car (a nice BMW) was clean and comfortable. Communication with the driver was via a translation app, but he was very friendly, and it wasn't a hassle. The trip passed very quickly. The hike to the Great Wall was worth the effort. Finally, I sledded down, took a shuttle bus, and met my driver in the parking lot. I highly recommend it. Although you should be prepared to explore some sections of the Wall on your own, it's advisable to prepare a little bit in advance.

Great service, very good driver - Nicholas Wang was my driver and was all the things you want a driver to be. Punctual, patient, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. His car was clean and his driving skills excellent. He also went out of his way to assist me in the morning when I had misplaced my phone! He pointed me up the path at the village and kept in touch during the hike. The route was straightforward and clear, and I had an excellent day out!

Very cool guide,... - Very cool guide, professional and helpful. Good hike. Impressive. But clearly not recommended for families or debutants. In fact, I think the access to the Great Wall is now impossible when you reach the blocked tower.

A Fantastic Bucket List Experience! - I highly recommend this private transfer service to Jiankou Great Wall. Our driver Nicholas was impeccable and helped us throughout the whole day. He kindly provided us with water for our hike on the Great Wall. Once we stopped at the entrance of the hike. Nicholas explained the instructions for executing the Jiankou Great Wall hike and provided us with a phone to contact him if help was needed. Once we completed the hike we met Nicholas at the Mutianyu Great Wall carpark. Nicholas recommended a nice restaurant to have lunch before returning to Beijing. Overall a bucket list experience that I highly recommend to be on your to-do list while in Beijing.

Nicholas picked me up... - Nicholas picked me up directly at the hotel, the ride was confortable and brought me directly at the start of the trail for the jankou wall. If you are not used to go on this kind of journey on your own I suggest you to book the guide too. I made it on my own to the Mutianyu wall and on the way down it was impossible to get the ticket for the shuttle bus, but I made it anyway to the meeting point at the end. Great views and it was really scenic to enjoy the wall all by myself

Very beautiful and sporty challenging tour over different sections of the Great Wall of China 👍🏻💪🏻 - Highly recommended tour to the Great Wall of China! The guide Mr. Zhang was very friendly and helpful. He also had water and snacks with him. Since I was alone, he accompanied me about 4km up the mountain to the wall, he is really in good shape 😅 The first 2.5km hike on the (unrestored) wall I was almost alone, only very occasionally did I come across other hikers. This section was also challenging, partly steep and natural. So it was really worth seeing. Little by little you came to the restored part, and you made faster progress. The last 2.5km are finally on the public Mutianyu part of the wall. Here you appreciate what you had before, there are quite a lot of people around... The end was the toboggan run into the valley, where Mr. Zhang was already waiting for me. All in all, a beautiful hike with many different impressions and perspectives on this beautiful monument. Overall, with the journey there and back, the ascent and enough breaks to enjoy the impressions, I was on the road for 8 hours. Contact with Lily was also very friendly and without any problems. The price-performance ratio is really good! I'd be happy to come back!

Majestic solo adventure on the wall - A friendly driver brought me from Beijing to a village near Jiankou where a guide led us up to the wall. From there I headed out alone. Perfect (cold) weather. I was alone on the wall for 4 hours. A dream adventure.
