- Great Hall of the People (Renmin Dahuitang) - This is the tallest building on the Square, constructed in just 10 months and completed in 1959.
- Chairman Mao Memorial Hall (Maozhuxi Jiniantang) - A memorial hall dedicated to Chairman Mao, built a year after his passing in 1977.
- Monument of the People’s Heroes - Erected in 1951 to honor the millions of soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the revolutionary cause of the Chinese people.
- Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Proceed north to the Forbidden City, the residence of the Ming and Qing Emperors for over 500 years. It is the largest and best-preserved Imperial Palace worldwide. Key sites include:

- Hall of Preserving Harmony (Baohedian) - This hall’s name signifies maintaining harmonious relationships. It was used for banquets and later for imperial examinations under the emperor’s supervision.
- Inner Court - The Inner Court of the Forbidden City served as the Emperor’s living quarters, while the outer court was designated for work.
