- Longqing Gorge - This scenic area is renowned for its stunning gorge. Visitors often compare its beauty to the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, though its mountains are notably steeper. The scenery is also reminiscent of the Li River in Guilin, but the water here is much clearer. After descending from the dam, enjoy a cruise along the river and hills. Each turn around a hill reveals a new breathtaking view. Along the river, you’ll see steep, forested cliffs and bare limestone formations in various fantastic shapes, sculpted by the natural force of water. In many ways, it resembles the Li River. Numerous rocks and hills have unique names, such as Comb Hill, Immortal Taoist Temple, Flowers Cave, and Jingang Temple.
- Guyaju Caves - It takes about 30 minutes to travel from Longqing Gorge to Guyaju Caves, located west of Yanqing County. This is the largest site of an ancient cliff residence community in China, featuring 117 caves that create a cell-like spectacle on the cliff.
- Beijing - After a full day of exploration, it typically takes 2.5 hours to return to your hotel.

Day Trip Longqing Gorge - Our tour with Leo’s Private China tours was incredible! Our guide Lilia was the absolute best and we had a wonderful day. Our driver was very skilled and kept us comfortable the whole time. The gorge was beautiful and Lilia recommended and excellent restaurant for lunch. This is the perfect day trip getaway from the business of the city if you’re traveling to Beijing. Heavily recommend this company. The caves were also very cool and Lilia is very knowledgeable on local history. Super interesting and lots of fun.

Amazing relaxing daytrip out of Beijing - I like to express my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our wonderful tour guide Lilia, from Leo guide and driver service for organizing such a perfect day trip to Longqing Gorge and Guyaju. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, thoughtful, and incredibly relaxing. Every detail was taken care of, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the scenery without a single worry.
Longqing Gorge is truly breathtaking—towering cliffs, serene waters, and lush greenery—and the guide guidance brought it all to life. The guide also shared insightful stories and local history that added so much depth to the visit, all while giving my family and I plenty of time to simply take in the peaceful surroundings. I especially appreciated how well-paced the day was; we never felt rushed, and there was a lovely balance between sightseeing, quiet moments, and light exploration.
The guide's warm personality, professionalism, and local knowledge made the whole experience not just enjoyable but memorable. It’s rare to find someone who knows how to blend organization with a genuine love for what they do, and it made all the difference. It was such a beautifully arranged day—we’ll be remembering Longqing Gorge and Guyaju for a long time to come.

Super tour - What a fantastic tour to the Longqing Gorge and Guyaju caves! April was a brilliant tour guide who looked after my family very well. She was so informative about the sites that we visited and about Chinese culture. Both sites were beautiful and a lovely change from the city. For lunch we stopped off at a local restaurant and ate delicious local food, which April explained everything we were eating. The driver was superb too and I felt safe at all times driving to the sites. Thank you for a brilliant tour, and I will be sure to go on another tour with April when I'm next in Beijing. Thank you.

Outstanding Tour - This is our THIRD attempt at trying to submit this review.
We visited the Longqing Gorge and Guyaju Caves and our guide was April. She was an outstanding guide who was very enthusiastic and amazingly informative. She answered our questions clearly. Her English was excellent and she had a very happy disposition. We would strongly recommend her as a guide. Our driver, Mr Wang, who spoke no English had a great sense of humour and was an excellent driver. We felt very safe in his capable hands.
The caves were fascinating but a certain level of fitness is required. The gorge was spectacular and well worth a visit.

Great tour overall, the Longquin... - <p>Great tour overall, the Longquin gorge is real pretty and you take an escalator through a dragon to get to the top of the dam. The gorge is pretty and well worth the trip and this is a different type of tour for beijing. After about an hour boat trip you take toboggan down the hill which is fun. We had lunch in a place that makes homemad noodles, no folks so be prepared to us chop sticks but the food was awesome. We had a bit of a snafu where the guide didn't know we were going to Guyana Caves but after 1 hour car ride for nothing we got there. The caves are worth it but you need to be fit because you are climbing to get to these. Great trip overall!</p>
