• Mutianyu Great Wall - Located approximately 70 to 75 km from downtown Beijing, the Mutianyu Great Wall is about a 1.5-hour drive. During holidays and weekends, it is advisable to depart early to avoid traffic and crowds.

The Mutianyu Great Wall meanders through high mountains and deep valleys, providing expansive views and stunning scenery. As you walk along the Great Wall, you can fully appreciate the rolling mountains and dense forests, experiencing the grandeur of nature and the ancient beauty of the Great Wall.

The unique Zhengguan Terrace features three watchtowers standing side by side on one platform, a rarity on the Great Wall. Watchtowers are densely spaced, with one approximately every hundred meters. There are also dramatic landscapes such as the “Ox Horn Side” and the “Eagle’s Inverted Flight.” The crenellations on both sides of the Great Wall are well-preserved, showcasing the ancient charm of the Great Wall.

• Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling) - Situated in Changping District, Beijing, the Ming Tombs are about 40 km from the Mutianyu Great Wall, approximately a one-hour drive.

This imperial cemetery spans 40 square kilometers and is the resting place of 13 Ming emperors, 23 empresses, numerous imperial concubines, princes, and princesses. These tombs are the best-preserved of all Chinese imperial tombs. Three sections are open to the public: the Sacred Way, Changling Tomb, and Dingling Tomb. The Sacred Way, the first attraction of the Ming Tombs, is the main path leading to the thirteen imperial tombs within the scenic area. The two lines of lifelike stone sculptures (12 beasts and 6 officials) on both sides are a highlight of the Sacred Way and are popular with visitors. Among the Ming Tombs, Changling is the largest, earliest, and most magnificent, with the best-preserved structures. Dingling is the only tomb with an excavated underground palace. You can visit one based on your interests.
