• Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - The Forbidden City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stands as Beijing’s crown jewel and one of the world’s most well-preserved ancient imperial complexes. Constructed in the 15th century, this 600-year-old palace was the residence of 24 Ming and Qing emperors. Covering 180 acres with 980 remaining buildings, the Forbidden City impresses with its golden roofs, intricate carvings, and grand courtyards. Notable features include the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the emperor’s throne room, and the Palace of Heavenly Purity, where royal families resided.

First, your tour guide driver will pick you up from PEK or PKX Airport or your hotel within the Beijing urban area and drive you to Donghuamen. Then, walk for several minutes to the Wumen. Located in Huairou County, it faces the Badaling Great Wall and connects to Juyongguan Pass in the west and Gubeikou Gateway in the east. The entire area resembles a mountaintop garden, with numerous natural springs nourishing a wide variety of plants and fruit trees, keeping the air fresh year-round.

Secondly, the guide will drive you directly to the end of the shuttle bus in the Mutianyu scenic area. On your way to Mutianyu, the driver can share a wealth of knowledge about Beijing’s history, culture, anecdotes, local customs, and traditions throughout your journey. The guide will also explain the history of the wall. Walk to climb, and the guide will accompany you as you walk between ancient watchtowers and dramatic parapets.
