• The Great Wall of Jiankou - Jiankou is renowned as the most stunning section of the Great Wall in China. Embark on a hike along this authentic part of the Great Wall of China on the remote and challenging Jiankou trail, which offers breathtaking views of steep mountain landscapes. Known as one of the most picturesque stretches of the Great Wall, Jiankou is a favored spot for contemporary professional photography. Dating back to the Ming Dynasty, the Jiankou Wall connects with the Mutianyu Great Wall to the east and the Huanghuacheng Great Wall to the west, zigzagging for 9.3 miles from east to west. It is higher and steeper than the Mutianyu Great Wall, and more winding and diverse than the Simatai Great Wall. Constructed from local dolomite, the white rock is visually striking from afar.

During the hike, visitors will encounter the Zhenbeilou Tower, a significant command post during ancient wars, situated 1,200 meters above sea level. Discover the Beijing Knot, where three walls converge from different directions.

The round-trip journey will take approximately 4 hours. It is advisable to wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes, as some paths can be challenging. Bringing an extra T-shirt for a change after the hike is recommended. For those who have a fear of heights or are over 65 years old, the Huanghuacheng, Jingshanling, or Mutianyu sections of the Great Wall are suggested as alternative tours.

The tour is scheduled only during favorable weather conditions. Jiankou may occasionally be closed for fire prevention. We reserve the right to modify the itinerary or select a different section of the Great Wall if authorities close it or in the event of adverse weather conditions.
