- Mutianyu Great Wall - The driver will collect you from your hotel. This journey starts with a pickup from your central Beijing hotel at a time you select. Traveling in a comfortable private vehicle, embark on the approximately 1.5-hour drive.
Upon arrival, the driver will assist with ticket arrangements and then allow you to explore on your own. Optional activities include a cable car ride to the top of the wall and a toboggan ride back down. Typically, you have about 3 hours at the wall to hike and capture photos, depending on your arrival time.
- Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - It takes about 1.5 hours to drive from Mutianyu Great Wall to the Summer Palace.
Upon arrival, the driver will help with ticket arrangements and then let you explore the Summer Palace independently. You’ll discover a beautifully preserved royal garden, along with a lake, bridges, trees, temples, and historic pavilions. It’s a favored summer retreat for Imperial families, and from April to October, Dragon Boat rides are also available.
