Here you will have the opportunity to climb up either the North or South Face of the Wall.
- Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling) - Ming Tombs, burial grounds to 13 of the 16 Ming emperors. Only three of the tombs are actually open for viewing. Changling, the earliest and largest of the tombs, dates from the year 1413. We will explore the largest of the excavated burial sites, the Changling Tomb, which is divided into three separate, impressive courtyards.

Jenny is the Best! - Jenny is the best! Great information, friendly and helpful. A true professional. We really enjoyed the Great Wall experience and Jenny helped us with a map and directions for some added activities after the tour.

Mr. Lee's stories bring everything to life - Visiting the Great Wall of China at Badaling with our guide, Mr. Lee, was an unforgettable experience. His stories brought the wall’s history to life, making each step along the winding paths more meaningful. The mountain views were breathtaking, and his knowledge helped us appreciate the engineering marvel even more. Later, at the Ming Tombs, Mr. Lee’s explanations about the emperors, symbolism, and architecture added depth to the serene and beautiful surroundings. His warmth, humor, and passion for history made the day truly special. Both sites left me with lasting memories and a deeper connection to China’s remarkable heritage.

Day tour Beijing - Excellent Tour!! I highly recommend. Mr Lee made it a fun and inclusive experience. Great Wall of China, Ming Tomb day tour is a great way to spend the day while in Beijing.

The experience was very... - The experience was very nice, joe pick me up on time at the hotel, and the transportation was comfortable, he provided water during the journey and was always ready to help

Nice day trip without waiting in line - EN very nice guide who happily answered our questions. We started with the Great Wall of Chinese and had about 1,5 hours there. There were no lines. After EN we went to a jade factory where we learned about how jade sculptures, jewelry and the like are made. We also had EN lunch there which was a Chinese buffet. EN was very similar to what you would expect from a Chinese buffet in Sweden. After lunch we went to Minggravarna where we were almost all alone, there were hardly any other tourists there which was very nice. We then went to Beijing where we attended EN nice tea ceremony.
DE The only thing I have to complain about from the day trip was that the staff at the jade factory and in connection with the tea ceremony was very ”sellable”, however, they were understanding if you did not want to buy anything.

Great experience wall tour - They were in time since the beginning! Mary have good humor and goo knowledge on China History. The group was small and very kind. Mary took good decisions in order we can have a good experience in the great wall

We completed half of the... - We completed half of the planned activities. Due to poor weather conditions, we barely could see the Great Wall of China once arrived at Badaling. Also, the place where the tombs are located was closed due to a potential thunderstorm. As a result, we couldn’t complete the second part of the tour.
The good: transportation was on time. Tour guide was friendly and knew English. Lunch was good. He offered to take us to another place such as summer palace or the lama temple. Since we booked another tour that included these places, we decided to go back to the hotel. He gave us a refund for the tickets we didn’t get for the tombs.
The bad: due to weather conditions, the goals of the tour couldn’t be met. Half of the tour was completed. The day was very cloudy. We barely saw the Great Wall. We didn’t see the tombs.
Things to improve: this activity clearly depends on weather conditions.
For guests: If you are coming from very far, keep monitoring the weather. If the day is expected to be cloudy with rain, this activity is not worth it.
For the tour: consider canceling the activity two days in advance if the weather conditions are not good for a given day. That will help the customers to search for other plans.
Or, consider alerting customers that some activities may be canceled due to unforeseen conditions and offer alternative options for customers to know in advance what to expect.
Finally, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Just keep in mind that weather conditions may drastically affect your tour. And weather is something the tour guide has no control over.

Felt the whole experience... - Felt the whole experience was more focussed on selling us stuff then actually experiencing the places. Only 1 hour at the great wall so we could have mediocre food at a Jade factory, then to a tea house to sell us expensive tea.

The guide could not speak English. Even English mother tongue could hardly understand him. He couldn’t answer to very ba - The guide couldn’t speak English and he couldn’t understand our questions. Commercial activities were pushed during the day

Horrible!!! - Our trip turned into a nightmare before it even began. We had booked a tour in advance, expecting a smooth and enjoyable experience. However, when we arrived at the hotel, we were told they had no travel guide available and that we could not wait there. This was confusing and frustrating, as we had followed all booking instructions. Things escalated when, for reasons still unclear to us, the authorities were called on me and my family. No one from the tour company or the hotel made any effort to help or clarify the situation. Responses were slow to nonexistent. Overall, it was an unprofessional and distressing experience that I would never recommend to anyone.
