A Journey Through Time: Mutianyu Great Wall

As the sun began to rise over Beijing, I found myself eagerly awaiting the start of a two-day adventure that promised to be both enlightening and awe-inspiring. The first day of the Great Wall Tour took us to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, a place that has long been on my bucket list. Known for its stunning scenery and historical significance, Mutianyu is less crowded than other parts of the Wall, allowing for a more intimate experience.

In addition to the Wall, the tour included visits to a jade factory and a traditional Chinese tea house. These stops provided a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and craftsmanship. At the jade factory, I learned about the significance of jade in Chinese culture and watched skilled artisans at work. The tea ceremony at the tea house was a serene and meditative experience, offering a taste of the mindfulness and tradition that are central to Chinese life.
