A total must! - I loved the tour! Before finally booking the tour I thought I'd be able to set up something like this myself but after the tour I can most certainly say: this is a must if you are beijing! Our guide Kelly was excellent, not only her english was really fluent, but also the spots and dishes she showed us were delicious and hidden in the hutongs of beijing. Kelly was also really nice to be help me sort something out with my airline as I needed someone to speak Chinese. Thank you again!

Explore what you wouldn't explore and amaze yourself with awesome surprises. - It was an amazing experience! Lynn, our guide, was incredibly polite, fun, and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions attentively and shared fascinating stories about the history behind each dish. We were a small group of five people, including my friend and me, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The tour lasted about two and a half hours — perfectly paced, never rushed, and with great timing. We ate a lot of delicious and diverse foods, many of which were completely new to me, even though I had already been in China for 10 days and had tried many different dishes with a local friend. I loved every minute of it!

Worthwhile culinary insights into traditional cuisine - With Kelly we had a very dedicated guide. On this tour you have been able to learn many details about life in the Hutongs and at the same time taste a variety of food (lunch was not necessary after that). A great way to make a morning in Beijing.

Great authentic experience - We had a great time with guide Kelly! The tour really goes to some hidden places in the hutongs that would be very hard (or some impossible) to find yourselves. The tour was very well prepared. Some places had long lines, but Kelly had reservations everywhere so we never had to wait long. Kelly also had good stories about all the food and the hutongs in general. Is was a really authentic experience to us. And although you eat very local, all the food was of a good quality. So no worries afterwards about getting sick. Do bring a large appetite because you will try many different dishes, and the portions are never small in China.

Real local experience - Fantastic tour with Winnie, real local insight. She found places that I wouldn’t dream of trying to give us the real Beijing experience. It was technically breakfast tour, but I didn’t need lunch or dinner after that. Highly recommended.
