Jingshan Park (Jingshan Gongyuan) - After leaving the Forbidden City, opt to climb the hill in Jingshan Park. Reach the top pavilion for a panoramic view of the entire Forbidden City.

Temple of Heaven - This site was a place of heavenly worship for almost 600 years during the last two Chinese dynasties. Witness two of the most impressive altars and enjoy a pleasant walk through the park area. Observe how local seniors spend their day and discover a hidden matchmaking spot.

Outer City Tour: Mutianyu Great Wall, Summer Palace, and Olympic Stadium

Mutianyu Great Wall - Travel to the Mutianyu Great Wall via a scenic countryside road, arriving early to avoid crowds and queues, allowing for a more enjoyable experience. Spend approximately two hours hiking the Wall before regrouping for lunch. Opt for a ski-lift ride up and a toboggan slide down, highly recommended to avoid a 30-minute stair climb to the Wall.

Niaochao National Stadium - Drive past the Olympic Stadium, known as the Bird’s Nest. Although it is closed, you can capture photos from the car.

Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - Delight in the refreshing views and cooler summer climate. Begin by exploring the Palace Area to understand the opulent lifestyle of the Imperial Family. Stroll through the world’s longest painted corridor and, if available, board an Imperial Ferry Boat on Kunming Lake to admire the breathtaking scenery of this expansive Imperial Garden, a birthday gift from an emperor to his mother nearly 300 years ago.
