Nicely packaged Beijing experience. - We had a great time. We only had a few days in Beijing and this tour allowed us to see a lot of important sites. We were not rushed but saw a lot. Mike and Keith were fantastic and helpful. We saw everything, had plenty of time, and enjoyed the small group, tailored experience. We would definitely use this company again.

This is a wonderful way to see Beijing! - This is a wonderful way to see Beijing! You need to make sure your hotel is in their pickup zone and the rest is easy. They pick you up at your hotel, guide you through the sites, a great lunch both days, some more sites, then drop you back at your hotel. We added the acrobat show and super glad we did - amazing! Our guide the second day, Susie, was fantastic! Can't imagine doing it any other way :)

A great way to.see the highlights of Beijing - This was our first trip to Beijing China. I would like to stress that without a good guide and tour it would be impossible to navigate this very complex city. We booked this tour so that we could see the major highlights without having to set up multiple tours. I have only good things about our experience. We set up wechat on our phones before we left the U.S.. This is the easiest way to communicate with the tour operator and is very useful while in China. It includes translate. We checked in and made sure they had our passport, hotel and other requested information a few of days prior to the tour. They contacted us the night before via email and wechat with the tour guide name Keith and the pick up time at the hotel. The tour picked us up on time. It was three of us: myself, my wife and daughter. We joined three others on the tour. The first stop was the great wall. This is a long drive up to the mountains. Keith speaks great English (very uncommon in Beijing) and answered any questions along the way. Also it was important for an early departure, we arrived and completed the great wall tour before huge masses of tour buses swamped with people arrived. We had lunch at a restaurant located near the entrance to the great wall. The food and tour were great. The second stop was a view of the Olympic birds nest and then on to the Summer palace. This was another long drive, and great tour. By the time we finished, I was pretty worn out , it had been a full day of walking. We completed all this in the first day. The second day started a little later but was set up the night before for pick up on wechat and email. Our first stop was Tienamen Square. There are three sets of security to enter Tienamen square. Do not forget your passport as they check it three times and are very strict on entry. The third check is basically a full pat down. After seeing the square and getting information from our new guide -we then proceeded to the forbidden city. Both were amazing. Also a very long tour that requires some stamina as you will walk several miles. After the forbidden city we went to the park (walking distance attached to back of forbidden city) and trekked to the top where you can get a view of the scale of the forbidden city. After completing we met back up with the van and headed to lunch close to the temple of heaven. This was also anther great meal. The last part of the tour was the temple of heaven . I am not going into detail with all you will see as it is simply just too much to cover. But know that any one stop on this tour could easily take multiple days to see everything. This tour allows you to see as much as possible in a two day span. Amazing tour because the informative and helpful Guides.

Must love walking - This was a marathon. The Great Wall almost killed me, but it was worth the exertion. You should be in reasonable shape to do this tour properly. It's a lot of walking, but all the sites were great. The food was lovely and the tour guide was excellent.

Super good - I really recommend this tour. The guides are very good and helpful, everything works pretty good. The meals are included at the tour and we went to local restaurants and having the Chinese experience. You visit the most important places for a tourist experience and they provide all of the tickets. I loved the experience.

Best was to see the highlights of Beijing - This is an excellent way to see Beijing without any hassle. Our first day was the Great Wall and Summer palace with Susie. We were collected from our hotel & had a brilliant time at the wall. Susie spoke excellent English slowly so we understood. She was so sweet, friendly and helpful. Lunch was fantastic in a local restaurant. We all decided to go to the acrobats and it was amazing. Next day was Tianemen square & the forbidden city. Davis was a big disappointment after Susie as a guide. He rushed us through, spoke very quickly & took us to a silk factory saying it was a toilet break. I know the company no longer use him. Susie was exceptional & even helped me book things after the tour was over. Overall, the best way to see the highlights of Beijing.

Dodgy tour operator. - Day 1: The guide showed very little intention of taking us around properly (finish 1st day before 2pm). He took us through back roads whenever possible and did not take guests to the highest viewpoint in Jingshan Park, which offers the best views of the Forbidden City and surrounding Beijing. Instead, he led us to a dodgy shopping stop selling “knock-off” or potentially fake items at extremely high prices. Day 2: This day was slightly better (possibly due the the great wall experience), but still disappointing. The tour description said a maximum of 9 people, yet there were 11 participants. We were placed in a separate van from the guide, and the driver did not speak a single word of English. The guide gave explanations over a phone call while driving in another car with different guests. In the afternoon, he again took us to a questionable location near the Great Wall. He described it as a government-run free tea ceremony, but after the “ceremony,” guests were pressured into buying so-called “organic” tea at very high prices. Please be aware of these kinds of tactics. This two-day tour seriously affected our impression of China after what had been an amazing three-week trip.
