Since I had given the wrong e-mail address when I first booked a few months ago and later had to adjust an unplanned passport number and finally even had to cancel the whole trip, I had contact with the agency several times personally by e-mail. Everything was always met quickly, understandingly, easily and generously - really super customer friendly! We have now made up for our trip to China, and I booked the Badaling trip to the Great Wall again with Travel China Guide after the good experience, which worked out perfectly as expected. Badaling is easily accessible and well served by high-speed train. We took the cable car up to the north tower (6?), and in less than two hours hiked to tower 12, from there continued on foot through the bear zoo the whole facility back to the train station (another 40 minutes). It wasn't quite as crowded as it often was, otherwise the subdivision between North Tower 6-8 can probably get extremely crowded. A must for Beijing visitors and also the children liked it!

Magical experience - Badaling great wall is a unique and amazing experience. There is both historical and natural beauty in this trip...walking through this ancient complex, whilst admiring the surrounding mountains. It can get crowded but the services are oustanding. A special thanks to Travel China Guide, in particular the agent Cissy Li, who organized smoothly the ticket collections and even assisted us rapidly when we made a booking mistake. Travel China Guide has actually been amazing in helping us purchase tickets for numerous attractions during our trip to China.

Nice experience, you should definitely do! - The wall is a beautiful experience, definitely worth it. It is not easy to exchange your paper ticket for a real ticket that you can enter. We've had to search. Eventually you had to go through the Securitas at the cable car and there was a ticket office. It was also very busy in the beginning, a little further you have a better view and it is less crowded.

Watch out!! We were not allowed to enter the Great wall with their tickets! - We booked night tickets with the cable car drive up. Tickets say taht we could enter anytime after 18:30, and that we have to exit no later than 21:00. We had 9 hours wait in Beijing for our next flight and we decided to use this time to visit the Great wall. We arrived at the site at 19:30. However, we were not allowed to enter to the Great Wall with these tickets because cable car does not operate after 19:30 and since our tickets were for the Great wall + the cable car, staff on the gate told us that when the cable car does not operate our tickets for the Great wall are invalid too! Stuff on the gate even did not want to look at our reservation for the wall when we said that we have reservations for the cable car too. They asked us to buy new tickets for the wall only, but we didn't have cash with us because we thought we have valid tickets for everything we need. Also our mobile phone apps did not work there because all are Google based since we are from Europe, and Google is banned in China, so we could not buy new tickets online too. At the same time another pair had the same issue with tickets booked through Viator as we did, however they were lucky and had the cash with them, so they could buy new tickets on the site. So we lost our chance to see the Great wall, we spent so much time to reach the destination and money for the taxi and all of that for nothing!!! Ve vere offered tickets refund from Viator, but they don't want to refund us money spent for the taxi even it is their mistake that they didn't say tickets are valid only for one hour, ftom 18:30 to 19:30 on the day of the reservation! And also, there is nothing that can compensate our disappointment because we didn't see the Great wall!!!

Awful - At the Badaling South cable car they kept saying I hadn’t a proper ticket and weren’t very nice. I had the Viator ticket with a bar code and they were’nt going to let me on. When they finally let me on with my passport number they started laughing as I obviously wasn’t very pleased.
