Beijing-Longmen Grottoes–Ancient Cultural Street

Beijing - A friendly driver will collect you from your hotel in Beijing at 6:00 am and take you to Beijing West Railway Station to board your bullet train to Luoyang, departing at 7:00 am.

Longmen Grottoes - Upon reaching Luoyang Longmen Railway Station, a private guide and driver will be waiting with a sign displaying your name at the exit. They will escort you to the Luoyang Longmen Grottoes, situated on both sides of the Yi River, south of the ancient capital of Luoyang in Henan province. These impressive carvings are considered the finest among China’s grottoes, featuring over 2,300 caves and niches carved into the steep limestone cliffs along a 1km stretch.

LuoYang LaoCheng LiShi WenHua GuJie - After enjoying a local lunch, the journey continues to Luoyang Ancient Cultural Street, located in the old town of Xiguan, Luoyang City. This area is renowned for its specialties and snacks, making it one of the most popular food streets in the country. After the tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Luoyang.

White Horse Temple-Shaolin Temple–Beijing

White Horse Temple - Meet your private guide and driver in your hotel lobby in Luoyang at 8:00 am and travel approximately 40 minutes to White Horse Temple, the birthplace of Buddhism in China, established in 68 AD under Emperor Ming of the Eastern Han dynasty. The site also features beautiful examples of Thai, Burmese, and Indian temples.

Shaolin Temple - Next, drive about 1 hour to Shaolin Temple, located in Dengfeng County, Henan province. Originally built in 495 during the Northern Wei Dynasty (368-534), it is famed as ‘the Number One Temple under Heaven’. With your tour guide, visit Shanmen Hall, Hall of Heavenly Kings, and Thousand-Buddha Hall. For lunch, choose between a vegetarian meal at the temple or a local lunch outside after your visit.

Beijing - Once the tour concludes, your guide and driver will take you to Luoyang Longmen Railway Station to catch your train back to Beijing (16:40-20:30). Upon arrival, your Beijing driver will meet you at Beijing West Railway Station and transfer you back to your hotel or apartment.
