Worth investing n the Guided Tour - Alice our guide was superb. We were escorted to the Mont on the bus and commenced the guided tour via the back door ! Avoiding the masses. Alice was articulate and fluent in English and gave us a lot of detail and background on the history and development of the site. Alice gave us additional advice for the "freetime" we had after the guided tour which was invaluable. The cost of the tour with the inclusion of access to the Abbey was well worth it.

We had many stairs to... - We had many stairs to climb up and down, so be prepared for walking a lot. Make sure you have comfortable shoes.

Of course, there was lots... - Of course, there was lots of walking. However, if you have trouble with upward slopes, be forewarned, there is A LOT in this tour. We did get to see everything, and then had time to visit the village. Very enjoyable

A lot of walking! Wear... - A lot of walking! Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk up and down lots of stairs and steep inclines. Our guide, Honoré, was great!

Rare experience! 🌟 - It was exactly what it was promised - a walk on the ocean bottom and experiencing quick sands. The guide was professional and fun, he explained our group the 2 ways to get out of the quick sands and we had several chances to try. I worried that I would freeze in shorts and being bare feet )) But no! It was not cold at all, and while escaping the sands I was even hot! ))

Medieval Marvel - Lovely morning stroll through Mont Saint Michel to the abbey! Stephanie, our guide, was a wealth of knowledge and really brought us to places off the beaten path to experience Mont Saint Michel as it was originally intended - away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. Highly recommend!

Sadly, quite disappointed with the tour, though the abbey itself is lovely and charming - My family and I were disappointed. We expected to walk across the bridge since it was a walking tour but the guide had us take the tram. We also were bored as our guide seemed to not be a very vibrant story teller and she didn’t walk and talk, she’d drop every 10 feet or so to tell another long boring story. We also expected that the tour would include discussion and tour inside the abbey and were very disappointed to learn she would just leave us outside the abbey and end the tour there. I feel this tour wasn’t representative of what it advertised.

Guide - Without going into to many details , our tour guide was overloading too much information and detail on the history of st michel. If we did not pay attention he would get annoyed , I have used Viator for many years, this was the worse experience I have had. The tour could have been much more pleasant with another guide.
