Janet is a great guide! - Really enjoyed Janet's walking tour, she is very dynamic and so much fun! It was a really hot day so she did her best to keep us in the shade as we walked around learning the history of the area. She covered so much history of the area and kept it really interesting!

Lowcountry Hospitality At Its Finest! - Janet is a joy to spend time with! Her company feels like that of a longtime friend. She is so funny and full of interesting history and cultural information about Beaufort and the surrounding area. I highly recommend her tour to anyone. She timed the tour so that we had periods indoors in the AC away from the oppressive heat. Very thoughtfully done! Apply sunscreen, wear a hat and drink water if going in the summer!

Wynn led us on this 2... - Wynn led us on this 2 hour tour covering about 2 miles of Beaufort. We met near the Marina and walked from there to and through the Old Point Neighborhood, a well known area of historic homes. Wynn did a good job giving us background of Beaufort's history including the history of Robert Smalls and his rise to prominence during the Reconstruction era. We learned so much. Highly recommended.

Top notch tour! - You won’t regret spending a morning strolling through Beaufort with Janet! My husband and I enjoyed a private tour. Janet is a font of information about Beaufort—its history, architecture, and people. Beaufort is ‘her’ town as was evident by everyone greeting her by name. We were even welcomed into a private garden and got to learn about living in this jewel of a city! We left her tour with a heighten interest in the history of the area and feel like we now have a friend in Beaufort.

You should take this tour - I thought our guide Wynn was an entertaining speaker who seemed to know a lot about everything. Interesting lessons about the founding of Beaufort and its economy. He chose nice shaded areas to stop and explain what we were seeing. The town is gorgeous and well worth the walk. The live oaks are always a treat for us Northerners. Easy to imagine yourself sitting on one of the wrap around porches sipping mint juleps. I’m very glad we took the tour. Only wish there had been more opportunity to sit down.
