The museum guides visitors through the key phases of the battles and the daily progress of the forces involved. This visit is an essential precursor to exploring the memorial sites of summer 1944.
• Omaha Beach - Visit Omaha Beach, the second beach from the west among the five landing areas of the Normandy Invasion during World War II. It was attacked on June 6, 1944 (D-Day), by units of the U.S. infantry divisions. Many soldiers tragically drowned during the approach from offshore ships or were killed by defensive fire from German troops positioned on the heights surrounding the beach.
• Arromanches-les-Bains - Arromanches is renowned as a historic site of the Normandy landings, particularly as the location where a Mulberry harbour artificial port was established.

On the beach of Arromanches, immediately following D-Day during the Normandy Invasion, the Allies set up an artificial temporary harbour to facilitate the unloading of heavy equipment without waiting for the capture of deep-water ports like Le Havre or Cherbourg. Although located at the center of the Gold Beach landing zone, Arromanches was spared the intense fighting on D-Day, allowing the port’s installation and operation to proceed swiftly without damaging the beach or disrupting surrounding communication lines.

• Cimetière Américain de Colleville-sur-Mer - The Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial is a World War II cemetery and memorial located in Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy, France. It honors American soldiers who lost their lives in Europe during World War II. Situated on the site of the former temporary battlefield cemetery of Saint Laurent, it spans 172.5 acres and contains 9,388 burials.
