A great tour of Normandy - We recently hired Francois Gosselin of "Ddaynormnadyguide.com" to guide my wife and me for a one day tour of the D Day beaches and the surrounding countryside. Francois came highly recommended by the owners of the B&B where we were staying in Bayeux, and we are so glad we listened to them. Francois is an incredibly knowledgeable guide who brought to our tour a thorough understanding of the details of the D-Day landings. Anybody can recite historical facts, but Francois brought to life the dangers and obstacles the Allied troops faced during and immediately after the landings. Being a born and bred Norman, Francois took us to old German defensive structures where he played as a boy. With not a tour bus in sight, we walked the cliffs and explored terrain still showing signs of massive explosions. We stopped for lunch in a small village, and later got a real feel for the density of the hedgerows. The day long tour seemed like it flew by. If you are looking for a topnotch tour guide in Normandy, we recommend Francois.

Amazing, moving experience - Fantastic tour. Not only did we see the sights and learn the history, but our guide Igor inspired me to reflect on how this all applies to us today. I am definitely recommending him to friends that come here for tours—he struck an incredible balance between learning the history and really feeling the impact of the hallowed ground we walked on.
