Great experience with a very knowledgeable guide - We took this tour with Sophie. Sophie's knowledge was excellent, she was able to provide the stories and background of D-Day as well as engage in more in-depth discussions. Sophie, provided the human stories that went beyond the statistics and provided insight into the difficulties of the invasion as well as the follow up campaign. She talked about the cost not only to the soldiers but also to the French civilians. The tour brought back the somber realities of war and the heroism of many young men.

Great Introduction to the Normandy Campaign. - It’s a full day. The 2 “beaches” plus the Airborne Museum and the lunch break in Saint Mere-Eglise provide a comprehensive understanding of the battle. The American Cemetery was informative, visually compelling and emotional.

An OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE - We had the best experience possible w/HQ and our guide Gwen. He was so informative and knew the history of all things related to D/Day and the battle of Normandy. At each stop he had a personal story of individual acts of bravery, that added a personal touch. I was a bit concerned that my wife was just doing the tour for me-but by the end of two days w/Gwen, she is now a full-on WW II buff. She loved it! My only problem w/this review is I can not give a score higher than a 5!! Bob G. Norfolk, Virginia

Sophie was a Fantastic Tour Guide!! - On October 5, 2024, my wife and I participated in the “D-Day American Beaches and US Airborne Full Day Tour from Bayeux”. I cannot say enough good things about our tour guide, Sophie. Sophie was professional, pleasant, and knowledgeable in the manner in which she conducted our tour. Sophie made the entire tour enjoyable! Sophie ensured that we knew what was going on and told us many facts about the locations we visited. I have a bad back and I accidentally left my “Lumbar Support Cushion” in the tour van at the end of the day. Sophie found the cushion in her van, and knowing which tour I was going to be on the next day, she went out of her way to make sure that the next day’s tour guide had my cushion for me. Sophie took care of each of us as if we were members of her own family! On October 5, 2024, my wife and I took part in the “full-day tour to American D-Day beaches and American airports from Bayeux.” I can't say enough good things about our tour guide, Sophie. Sophie was professional, pleasant and competent in the field. how she conducted our visit. Sophie made the whole visit pleasant. Sophie made sure we knew what was going on and told us many facts about the places we visited. My back hurts and I accidentally left my 'lumbar support cushion'. in the touring van at the end of the day, Sophie found the cushion in her van and, knowing which tour I was going to take the next day, she went out of her way to make sure the next day's tour guide had my cushion for me. took care of each of us as if we were members of her own family!

Best way to tour the Beaches and Museums. All around wonderful experience. - Best group tour I have taken. The tour guide was a delight, very personable, knowledgeable and accommodating. The group was small which allowed for easy discussions and sharing of information. It was a relaxed and informative tour. I thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Wonderful WWII learning and remembering experiences - Sophie with HQ was wonderful. The consensus was that the following were our favorites: Omaha, Utah, Pont du Hoc, St Mere Eglise (especially the museum) and the American Cemetery.
