Hike through the Royal valley - Anna was an amazing guide. She knew so much about the history of the Royal valley. The views of the cliffs were extraordinary. The hike was not hard in any way. I loved crossing the rivers multiple times. The lunch they provided was so good. The only drawback was not getting to the waterfall, however I would still recommend this tour .

Incredible One-Day Hike - We had an amazing experience on the one-day hike with Cannibal Art Tours in Nuku Hiva. Our guides, Ana and Tangy, were fantastic from start to finish. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole day feel fun, safe, and meaningful. The hike took us through stunning scenery and culturally rich sites, and we learned so much along the way. Ana and Tangy really brought the island’s history to life, and their passion for Nuku Hiva made the experience unforgettable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the island. It was one of the absolute highlights of our trip!

Fantastic tour and guides! - We had a fantastic time with Ana as our guide and her husband, Tangy, cooking for us!! Ana was very knowledgeable about the area and she even took pictures for people during the tour. It was a great hike! Strenuous, but worth it! What a gorgeous valley and mountains on Nuku Hiva!!

History, culture, and hiking in the staggering beauty of the Marquesas (Nuku Hiva) - We came via cruise ship to Nuku Hiva and experienced a wonderful day with Ana & Tangy! Our group of 11 enjoyed the beautiful hike to a waterfall, the history of the culture that was told along the way, and an excellent meal prepared by the couple. I would absolutely recommend this experience for culture, staggering landscapes, and excellent guidance through it all. You get to learn, see special places, and enjoy a home-cooked meal. Ana was very responsive and helpful in arranging our group details from start to finish. 5 stars!

Super friendly, informative/interesting, and spectacular views on Nuku Hiva hike to Vaipō waterfall. - This was such an awesome; unique experience. Ana and Tangy are super friendly - and Ana gave an amazing tour, explaining lots about the village, the valley, and historical/cultural background. Super interesting! And the scenery was spectacular, with the forest, cliffs, waterfall. Would highly recommend and would happily go visit again!

A wonderful experience on Nuku Hiva. - Our hike to see Vaipo waterfall was spectacular. The valley is naturally beautiful, and full of evidence of a past more populated by native people. Ana and Tangy were wonderful hosts and guides. One expects guides to be knowledgable, and they were. But they were not like so many who try to be funny to maintain interest. They were simply themselves, two genuinely interesting people sharing their story and their valley with us for several hours. The hike itself was not especially long or difficult. But the trail was rocky, and muddy in places, and included a few stream crossings. There were bugs, especially at lunch time. So, be prepared. My wife and I generally prefer to hike on our own. But as guided hikes go, this one gets my highest recommendation.

Hidden valley waterfall hike - Our tour guide, Ana was lovely and sooo filled with stories from the traditions of the island culture. The hike was kinda hard on our group of 8 as we were all 65 , but we did it and felt so proud. The further into the valley we went, the cliffs got higher and higher, and we couldn’t believe how beautiful it was!! (The waterfall was just bonus 😀) This hidden treasure (where season 4 of The Survivor was filmed ) was magical. And learning about the Polynesian culture made us feel like we went back 100 years to what old Hawaii may have been like. It was magical. (But BRING the RIGHT shoes as the trail is filled with volcanic rock). It was a once in a lifetime adventure!!
